It's breathable and supportive, and the all-terrain outsole adds stability. 15.87 oz / 499.9 g (per shoe), made with durable, water-resistant mesh and featuring a breathable lining, the Targhee Vent Mid Height Water-Resistant Hiking Boot is built off KEEN's traditional wider footwear form. KEEN products are consciously created using PFC-free water repellent, P.E.T. recycled plastic bottles (in applicable styles) and leather sourced from Leather Working Group (LWG)-certified tanneries. Broke them in on a truly muddy and long hike, my feet stayed dry and clean the entire time. The color isn’t like pictured, a little more like a moss color and tan. I don’t need a wide toe so I have extra room at the end but I imagine anyone who is seeking a wider toe would be happy with these. Other than all that, they are very comfy and seem to be durable! Love keen.

I wear size 8 1/2 or 9 in footwear- normally 9 in a hiking boot to allow enough toe room. I ordered 8 1/2 due to reviews read- these shoes fit like size 9 in 2 pairs of Merrells I have. Maybe even a little bigger, lots of toe room. I have problem feet and when I tried these on after a long day on my feet they felt wonderful! They have some arch support but the insoles are fairly thin compared to some- so far I like them , they seem very well constructed -I’ve only worn them in the house so far so may update my review after a month or two.

I can't speak to the comfort of these boots on the trail, because I decided to return them immediately after trying on. First, the toe box is narrower than in other Keen styles. Second, the tongue is not nearly as wide as the ankle opening, so it leaves visible gaps when it's laced and tied. On top of that, the finishing thread along the sides of the tongue is extremely stiff, so it digs into the tops of my feet.

I was a little hesitant to get this hiking shoe for two reasons. 1), it cost more than any other hiking shoe I've had. 2), I just had to return a less expensive Keen hiking shoe because after 6 miles it hurt my right foot on the top even after loosening the laces and the tread was so minuscule I was slipping on the trail. However, this KEEN Women's Targhee Vent Mid Hiking Boot was a world of difference! It felt like my feet were wrapped in a cloud and the treads are so gnarly they grip slippery rock and downward slopes of pea gravel, I was able to hike 11 miles up and down 2,000 feet elevation feeling in control of each step and comfortable. I can't wait to go on many, many more hikes.

I have loved my Keen Voyageurs for years now, but decided to try these because my feet are super sweaty and these have superior ventilation. They wouldn't work for me, though. Compared to the Voyageurs they are oddly large, both lengthwise and in the arch and heel areas. I couldn't ratchet down the laces enough to keep my feet from slopping around in them. If you have huge feet (volume-wise, not width-wise) these might fit you.

Was going on a trip to Peru and needed boots that covered my ankle. Got these on a hope and a prayer that they would work. And they were amazing. Did 5+ Miles a day in them, no issues. Some light hiking in the mountains and in the jungle, no issues. Super comfy. Looking forward to wearing them for another adventure!

I bought my first pair July, 3, 2020. I loved these boots! I put close to 800 miles on them over the last year. I’m a little bummed the tread wore off (as you can see in the pics) and was starting to feel rocks through them and extremely reduced traction. But I think for the amount of mileage I got out of them, what do you expect? I tried another pair of Keens and a pair of Oboz to try as replacements but nothing fit like these bad boys. I had no break in period with my first pair and again with the new replacement pair. I hiked 11.5 miles today and pulled them out of the box last night. No blisters or rubbed spots on my feet. I’m considering even buying another pair for when these inevitably lose tread.
