I love the Keen Targhee for its comfort & durability, but the sizing seems to have changed. I wear a Wms Size 8.5 in street shoes. In the past, I have had 2 pair of the Targhee Mid Height and 1 pair of the Targhee Hiking Shoe, all in Size 9, based on reviews that suggested sizing up by .5 size. The 9 always fit great. This most recent purchase of the Targhee 2 Mid Height in Size 9 was much too large. I re-ordered this same boot in Size 8.5--my street shoe size--and it is the perfect fit. I'd suggest that you order your normal street shoe size when ordering the Targhee 2 Mid Height boot. ... show more

I bought these boots for a hiking trip to the Sierra Nevada mountains. I bought them because reviews said they were good for plantar fasciitis. Paired with a nice pair of wool socks I did really well with them. I like how the toe is boxy so I had plenty of room for my toes. They felt supportive and have nice cushiony insoles. My one critique is I wish there were a tab for the laces at the top of the tongue because the tongue is a little bulky and doesn't always want to stay put. ... show more

These are hands down the best pair of hiking boots I’ve owned! They’re comfortable as they are and even better with my custom orthotic inserts. They’re not heavy and support my ankles perfectly! I’ll most definitely order these again when these wear out.

It is a bit wider than expected (these are wide boots, anyway, I am buying a new pair). However, this seems a bit wider than the other ones I have, which is much appreciated. I use extra supportive insoles so need more room. How wide? I usually buy a D width or wider if it is available, these fit pretty much the same. This women's boot has a reasonable width heel, not as proportionally wide as the toe box is. Can't remember if this is my third or fourth pair, I use Shoe Goo to do repairs as needed as I have had some issues with parts of the sole coming loose from the edge, use at work, and use gardening, walking, etc. The pair I am replacing are probably 4 to 6 years old. I'm not normally a hiker but I was going on a vacation that would involve a lot of hiking. I already have plantar fasciitis and was worried about my feet hurting. These boots were perfect! Durable hiking boot. Normally I go up a half size but I actually had to exchange back down to my regular size. I even tried boot socks and an additional footbed but they were still too big and slid around. The difference in the half size was huge. I went from way too big to hopefully just right.

20 miles in 7hrs 15min. These boots are extremely comfortable. Not one blister on my feet. The toes box is roomy and the arches are great.
