I got these as a work shoe replacement because my old pair's (also Presidio 2) arch support isn't quite as supportive as it was. The old pair is still comfy enough for running errands, but after at least 2, if not 3 years, it was time to replace them for work. I love these shoes because I didn't have to put an orthotic in them in order to not not have screaming feet at the end of the day. The inside of this new pair looks a bit different, but they feel the same, and my feet don't hate me after work. I'll take that as a win.

Disliked the heel. It is too loose for my feet. Liked plenty of room for my toes. Liked the color. Disliked the style. Looks like an orthopedic shoe. I want normal. I wear orthotic inserts, I need more depth than this shoe provided. On it's own, not much support for activities like hiking.

I love Keens. I bought these on Amazon not sure about them they’re really really stiff. The leather is not as soft as my other ones. But they are very comfortable.

These are perhaps the MOST comfortable shoe I've ever worn. The insoles -- if you get one of the pairs that actually have the leather insole -- have a great shape if you want arch suppert and overall great insole support. If you end up with a pair with the yellow insoles, you might be disappointed. I ended up with one pair of each to try on. There seems to be no way of knowing which kind you'll be sent. From other reviews, it seems like this is something that happens commonly. Both kinds of insole are removable. Curious as to why the pairs felt so distinctly different, I removed the insoles. The pair with the leather insoles have a yellow layer sewn into the shoe that has give and softness to it. The pair with the yellow insole have a hard white layer there. It's not just the removable insole that is very different and highly affects the feel and comfort of the shoe. The manufacture of the shoe itself is very different. You will most likely won't get the same comfort level with the pair that comes with the yellow insole even if you put in a better insole. Putting the leather insole into the shoe with the hard inside wasn't even the same feel and comfort. The difference in the insole (and I assume overall manufacture of the shoe) is a Keen thing, not an Amazon seller thing. I checked Keen's official website, and they picture the yellow insoles. Some other online "official" Keen retailers picture the leather insoles. The shoe tags show that the country of manufacture is the same. The model numbers are ALMOST the same... but not. The change in the manufacture of this shoe is not a good thing. If you order these shoes, I'd recommend buying from a listing that offers free returns. If you get a pair with the yellow insoles and are dissatisfied, you could return those and reorder in the hopes you'll get a pair with the leather insoles the next time. I don't think this issue is the fault of the seller. (Mine were both sold and shipped by Amazon.) I think it's probably that the seller has a stock that includes the old and the new manufacture batches and reasonably wouldn't know unless they were to open each box before they ship the shoes to the buyer. The pair with the softer part sewn into the shoe and the leather insoles get a solid 5 stars from me. The pair with the hard white part sewn into the shoe and the yellow insoles get a generous 2 stars from me.

I bought these to replace my Keen Toyah from 2013 which (both brown and black) fell apart. I wore them everywhere in the winter. Due to Mortens Neuroma I find some Keen styles my most comfy shoes. It was hard to replace the Toyah. Presidio 1 was too utilitarian looking for me for a daily shoe. As others have mentioned, the footbed in this shoe is different than Toyah. Not as cushy, and more slippery. My leather padded inserts do not stay put. Strangely also is that the left insert is always black when I remove my foot...(the footbed is black). The shoe is comfy, but i do feel the terrain more (rocks etc). The biggest difference I have noticed now is the lack of tread. I used to be able to go off the sidewalk, scramble up hills, rough terrain, hike. I tried that with these during some heavy rain and it was like being on ice. Absolutely no traction and major slipping. These are NOT for hiking. They are NOT listed as a hiking shoe on Keen website. I will keep wearing these, but need to not wear them unless I am doing street walking. No hiking or exploring. They work for daily wear although I really miss my Toyah and wish I had kept the insert to switch out.
