  • Wanted to love them, but too big
Size: 9.5 Color: Syrup/Boysenberry
These keen hiking boots seemed well made and looked good for hiking boots. It’s true the tongue is attached at the sides of the top, probably to help it be more waterproof. I probably couldn’t slip them on one-handed, but I got them on fine. However, they were too big. I bought my usual 9.5 and there was too much space all over. It wasn’t just too long, but also there was extra room on top of my foot. I couldn’t tighten the laces enough to make a snug fit. I thought about keeping them and wearing thicker/extra socks, but decided to return and try something else. ... show more

  • Solid boot
Size: 11 Color: Steel Grey/Cloud Blue
As is typical of Keen, the toe box is nice and wide. I struggled a bit to get my left foot into the boot as the tongue doesn’t lift all the way up. I’m guessing this is to keep the boot waterproof. My left foot has been through some trauma and surgeries, so it was a struggle to bend my foot enough to slide it in. But with some wiggling, I was able to get it in. The top of the boot is a bit tight over the mid top of my left foot. But again, my foot has had some struggles. It isn’t painful, so I’m going to wear them around the house for a few days to see if it loosens up as I break them in. My right foot felt great! I swapped the insoles out for my custom orthotics, and while the left is still a tad tight, things feel better. Nice ankle support (I had hardware in my ankle and have a history of fractures so I’m prone to rolling my ankle- ankle support is a must for me). My old hiking boots were Ahnu’s and I was struggling over whether to buy these Keens or not as historically, I’ve felt Keens were heavy and clunky. They do feel a bit clunkier than am used to, but for the sale price, it’s not a full stop for me. I wish I could have got a half size bigger as I don’t think I will be able to wear super thick socks, but I tried them on with medium weight smart wool socks and my big toes were not touching the end. The real test will be going downhill, so we’ll see how they do next weekend. Overall, I think I will be happy with them once they wear in. ... show more

  • Runs a little big
Size: 6 Color: Syrup/Boysenberry
Update: these boots have resulted in multiple falls for me, the last one being significant. Luckily it was on a flat trail and not near a cliff. The laces of one boot get caught in the top eyelet (or lace hook) of the other boot when walking. I’m not sure if this problem is specific to me, but I have not had this with any other boots that I’ve owned. Just a heads up that you may want to tuck the laces in. Ankle is a little stiff but gets more comfortable after the first couple miles. I ordered a size 6 and they fit good, maybe slightly big but that’s how you want them anyways if you do lots of uphill/downhill like I do. I’m posting a picture of them next to my size 7 Keen winter hiking books to show that either A) this style runs large, or B) that style runs small. Keep in mind these styles are 1 whole size apart but are the exact same size when put side by side. If you can figure out the size you need I’d definitely recommend these. ... show more

  • Remarkable Amazon Renewed
Size: 9.5 Wide Color: Steel Grey/Cloud Blue
I recieved these Keen 9.5 wide for my birthday and was let down because it seemed Keen was off on sizing or my feet widened even further. I requested return and forgot about them. Two weeks later still in the box, I really wanted them to work out because they looked good and really new and at 48.00 Amazon Renewed and 100.00 less than advertised I began wearing them in slowly each day and I compared them to my previous Keen boots also renewed and loved, they feel great now and I'm so so glad because they are waterproof and perfect for my summer treks 2023! This is my first taller version of Keen and my ankles don't feel bound. I love merrell and Keen and I live close to a Merrell outlet store but if I'm patient Amazon Renewed has always always sent me new or once worn purchases and always beats the other "outlet" pricing. There are 2 reasons I love Amazon Renewed, I like to recycle and get somewhat worn in boots, and the price, of course. The secret is patience waiting for someone else's return. I'm so glad I waited to return these. If you have a wide foot like me, good 9.5 wide hiking and riding boots are hard to find. Tens are easy to find but they are always too long and thin. Happy Amazon Renewed hunting! I have to add at first the only thing I noticed weird was a few water stains. I used olive oil and lightly coated them and the color became uniform. The toe box is always appreciated and these Keens have plenty. ... show more

  • Snug around the middle of the foot
Size: 7.5 Wide Color: Steel Grey/Cloud Blue
These seem like really great quality hiking boots. I have very wide feet with a bunion - I usually need a size 7.5 double wide shoe. I ordered these in a 7.5 wide. The length is OK, and the toebox seems just wide enough to be OK. But the area near the middle of the foot, near the side of the arch, seems too snug I don't usually have a problem with shoes being too narrow in that area. I have only walked around the house in these shoes. I noticed that the ankle area is pretty stiff, so I am not sure how they would be when actually hiking. I am concerned that they might rub a blister. So sadly, these are being returned. I am going to try a men's size since they tend to run wider - but not great colors for women! ... show more

  • Great Keen product
Size: 9.5 Color: Toasted Coconut/North Atlantic
I did return these, since they were a little large. Would have been good with bulky winter socks. They fit larger than the Terradora boot style, which I usually buy.

  • Nice shoes
Size: 7 Color: Syrup/Boysenberry
Very nice shoes, I normally wear size 7 but these were really big. Exchanging for 6.5. I really like the color of the shoe. I consider these on the wide side even tho it wasn’t a wide shoe I order.
