These are extremely comfortable and breathable for being water proof. Normally with waterproof boots my feet sweat like crazy, but these seems to breathe fairly well. Good traction in grass and mud, but extremely grippy on concrete and asphalt. As far as the "foot shape" goes they seem to fit well, but the toe area is not as wide as I would like; and I went up half a size from what I normally wear. If you like an extremely wide toe box I would go with Altra or another brand. Unfortunately for me I have worn them for a couple weeks and can't return them.

Great shoe. I wear these several days a week on hikes and for yard work. A major update from the previous Zionic. Better fit with a softer toe box. Better ankle support and much better sole with more durability. I would recommend an insert for the foot bed inside however. Very flat and zero arch support inside. Surprised that an almost 200 dollar shoe had such a pathetic insert. Shoe laces have started to fray after less than a month on the upper lace runs and the laces themselves are poor quality. Overall a really good hiking and possibly outdoor work shoe. Unfortunately there's some things to be expected at that price, like better laces and insert. I will try to update after another month about the wear.

Once again KEEN does not disappoint. I have a few pairs of their products because they are well constructed and are often quite comfortable, and I will most likely continue to buy their products as long they continue making good stuff like these boots here. Like most of the boots KEEN makes, these Zionics are also waterproof and have a wicking material. First impression of the boots is that they are much lighter than the other KEEN boots I have and it shows, with the Zionics weighing in at only 13.4 oz. The other KEEN boots I have weigh 19+ ounces so that extra 6oz. of weight is very noticeable when you wear these all day every day like I do. Been wearing these Zionic to break them in for almost two days now and I have to say that within a few hours of putting them on, I couldn't even tell I was wearing boots. They feel like sneakers, but with a the ankle support, and protection of a boot. The material is cloth mesh and possibly a leather or vinyl, but stitched well. The sole is thick rubber with significant tread pattern and is very grabby on multiple surfaces. I am really loving these new Zionics and I think they will be just as great as the other pairs of KEENs that I have. Wish these were at a different pricepoint, but they are on par with the style and design of the hiking boot line that KEEN has. My only complaint with these boots is they are just a tad narrower than the Targhee line. Sizing is pretty spot on but there is always some deviation like this so not going to down grade a star over it. They will soften up and break in a little more so not too concerned with the narrowness. The insoles seem to be much thicker than the Targhee insoles and they do feel softer and a little more comfortable right now. Would most definitely by these again!!
