Honestly, I did not know the name "Keen" for hiking boots/shoes until I got these. I was a bit nervous buying shoes I have not known from the 45+ years I have been hiking, and just walking around the village where I live. But in my opinion, these are excellent hiking shoes for all occasions. Just to wear around in a casual way they are very comfortable and look like extremely well-made shoes. For actual hiking of 5+ mile day-hikes, they are great too. Great soles for traction and stability, and I really have nothing bad to say about them. They look great, they feel great, and they perform great on the city streets and in the woods. What more do you want, you know? So even though I had never heard the name "Keen" before, I am very happy I decided to give them a try. If you get a pair, I think you will love them too. A slight "break-in-period", as with every pair of hiking shoes/boots I have ever had. That, for me, was about three, hour-and-a-half walks. Then they felt perfect, and hopefully will for years to come. I think you will be equally happy with them. I've had all different makes and models of boots over my decades of hiking, and these are as good as any of them. In my opinion they are well worth giving a try. Jim W.

I first bought the Targhee 1 years ago and love them. Love them so much I had them re-sold and wore those until the shoe practically fell apart. Then I bought the Targhee 2 and hated them. I still wore them until they wore out but the fit was crap. I am happy to report that the Targhee 3 are awesome. Definitely different then the first iteration of the shoe but a great shoe that has been comfortable from day one. I love them. There was one thing that I thought was going to be a problem, when I first put them on the foam around the ankles was riding high on my ankle. I thought this was going to be uncomfortable but within 15 minutes of wearing the shoe I didn’t even notice it. Not sure if the foam is just so malleable that it is an issue or what but I haven’t felt it since that first day and I’ve been wearing the shoes for a couple months now

Most comfortable shoes. I have bunions and I was able to wear these shoes all day the first time. I just wore them flying from Orlando Fl to Denver Co. So pleased to have them with the snow, no problem. Finally, a great product that makes my feet happy.

I tend to drag my right foot with my forehand throw, which is the majority of my tee box throws. I have blown out several pairs of less exspensive hiking shoes. If these continue to hold up as they have for the past 3 months they will be cheaper in the long run. I play for sure two times a week 18 each time more if i get the chance. I tried the columbias, they were too tight even the wide size, Amazon returned them but make sure the transaction gets taken off your credit card, we had to follow up on that it was clerical. The one thing i would change is to get a softer insert, why not be comfortable. I like that my shoe isnt filled with dirt and i dont have a bloody toe at the end of the round. Also they are waterproof if it ever rains here again that will be a bonus. Hope this helps and have fun banging those chains!
