Weighing 15.87 oz / 499.9 g (per shoe), made with durable, waterproof leather, and featuring a moisture-wicking lining, the KEEN Targhee 3 waterproof hiking shoes for men are built off KEEN's traditional wider footwear form. KEEN products are consciously created using PFC-free water repellent, P.E.T. recycled plastic bottles (in applicable styles) and leather sourced from Leather Working Group (LWG)-certified tanneries. KEEN makes shoes to make a difference.

Keen makes the best fitting footwear that I know of and I have owned at least 10 pairs. However, in almost every example and after normal wear (often within less than one year), part of the layers of sole or rubber toe starts to delaminate and pulls away from the other layers. Shoe Goo can be a temporary but not long-term fix. I really wish Keen would do better quality control on the fabrication of their footwear. ... show more

I'm not an expert on waterproofness, seeing as I can't even think of the right word for it, but the insides didn't notice when I stuck the shoes under my bath faucet. Comes with the worst laces I can ever remember. Perhaps they are durable and water resistant, but the material has far more friction with my hands than it does with the shoes. As a result, I got rug burns trying to tighten the shoe, and I still couldn't get it as tight as it should be. Replacement laces aren't very expensive, so it's not the end up the world, but it's something to consider. Also, the ones I got were not entirely the same color. I think it's because part of it is made from leather, which has biological variance. That's no excuse, as quality control should check that the shoes going into the box are the same color. If I cared about fashion or style or whatever I would be very unhappy about this, and would probably return them. ... show more

I’ve had these shoes before and the fit and comfort was great. I’m hard on shoes and these lasted much longer than expected. I would recommend them. I only gave it 4 stars due to the misleading description. It says made in USA which would be a plus. However these are made in India. These fit like a Keen. The toe box is large with good support through the arch. I purchased these to replace a 6 year old pair of Targhee II's that I had finally worn out. I only purchase waterproof shoes since I work outside. These are great for walking through wet fields and shallow puddles. They can be hot in the summer, but no more than the other waterproof shoes I have had. I wear them 3-4 days a week. ... show more

These are great daily wear shoes, the high tops are awesome hiking boots. I can walk all day in these and I am 280 lbs. So far my weight hasn't destroyed the soles of these like other shoes I have worn through the years.

The laces of the original shoes were difficult for my son to tie so we upgraded to these no tie laces. I wish more Keen shoes came with these like the child styles do.

I have Mortons Toe and need a wide toe box. These are the best for me. I've tried New Balance, Lone Peak, Merrell 3, and many others. These have the comfort and stability I need. Highly recommended.

I have used this shoe for years. I need a wide toe box and I get one with this product. I also order a half size larger to allow for room on down hills.
