I use my boots for work as a construction manager and for hiking with my dogs in wet grass, mud and the woods, so they get wet, then dry out and abused often. I have been using Timberland boots but they don't last a year and it's hard to get them feeling comfortable with my feet and they are not waterproof even though they claim to be. My left foot is a bit wider than the right and that causes issues as well. I decided to try these out after reading about them on Reddit threads about heavier duty hiking boots. When they arrived I was impressed with the quality and at how light they are. I was even more impressed with how they were immediately comfortable on both feet and felt broken in, a feeling I never achieved with the Timberlands. I've been using them for a couple weeks now and they keep my feet dray and also have great ankle support. I'll update this as they age, but so far I'm a huge fan. Now, if I can stop tracking mud into the house lol ... show more

This is my second pair of Keen boots. Decided to get another pair in Black that would work well for my Northern Midwest climate. I found them to be comfortable right from the start with no sore spots. They are insulated though lightly, and keep my feet warm at sub freezing levels. Not sure if they were compete with my Sorels when it gets to be 25 below! A couple people have commented about the toes turning white after a couple weeks use. This is just part of the waterproofing coating that hit the rubber parts of the boot and can be cleaned off. There are a couple bits of visible glue around the sole of the boot. But I don't believe that it is very noticeable or a deal breaker. Will update later after I have worn through a winter! ... show more
