I have real issues with getting shoes that are comfortable with my wide foot and arthritic toe, and these are the best I've ever had. I've been a long time Keen where. I went with a pair of Salomons last time after finding out that they're no longer made in America. Little tighter on money and saw a big discount on Kings so I figured I'd give him a try and see if they're worth what they used to be. The exact same shoe. This is my first pair of Keens and although I'm not a hiker but we (family) spend lots of time walking wooded trails and on the rail trail. So far (two months) the shoes are still comfortable and seem to be waterproof. Somewhat expensive, but as long as the shoes are comfortable and hold up well, I don't mind the cost.
