These are ok hiking shoes. The wide toe is nice and fits well for my large shoe size. The flex toe works as you’d expect and it’s pretty cool. Works great. Overall construction is solid but there are a few quirks that I’m not fond of. The heel is too shallow, my heels slips up all the time. The sole is good but the heel drop is too flat. Makes walking feel awkward. I put some expensive insoles in mine for more arch support and it helps but it’s just not terribly comfortable. They need to raise the heel a bit, add more material to support the heel and ankle, and add better arch support. Otherwise a great casual hiker shoe. ... show more

I’ve been wearing the the Targhee 3 for close to two years and it’s been great. So it was time to get a new pair and saw that Keen came out with Ridge Flex low height show with the same lugs outsole as the Targhee 3 I just had to try it. Keen does not disappoint. I received my package at noon at work, I took off the Targhee 3 and put this on and it was like I was home, just out the box comfortable. I can say the Ridge Flex is real good and it’s easy to walk. The shoe just bins a lot easier and is less wear and tear on the leather. I’m on my feet for more then 8 hours a day and they feel like I just put them on the morning when I get home. ... show more

My feet hurt all the time, so I am picky about the shoes I take on trips overseas. Keens have always proven to be a good choice, and these in particular were excellent. Wore them almost daily. Keen are the best work shoes I ever had, even my foot Dr approves them, but this model has a hard sewn intersection that hurts my foot. I will not get this model next time

Keen makes great hiking shoes. I wear them out annually. I need wide shoes however, and they are often sold out. I was finally able to get a 7.5 Wide in the new ridge flex waterproof hiking shoe and I really like them. Just breaking them in.

4 days hiking in Iceland, 3 in Scotland. ZERO pain, like cloud walking. Awesome grip and based on our mileage, good durability. Cost a bit more than others but we’ll worth it. Keene really thought this shoe through, designed and manufactured really well.
