I’ve been wearing this Keen shoe model for many years. I have always found them to be warm with a good grip and comfortable to walk around in cold winter weather. They are not boots, but a good go between size when the ice or snow is not high. I usually end up finding I need to buy a new pair about every two seasons or so and they have maintained their consistency in quality. They can feel a little loose, but stick to your true size, and certainly can accommodate heavier/thicker socks. I have a number of keen sandals, shoes and boots, including slip-ins. Since the Brixen has all the polar features, comparable to my revel and anchorage, I initially ordered in my usual size 11. I was extremely excited to get the brixen, something I’d wanted and dove in when there was a price drop. My first impression was this shoe is substantial for a slip in, loaded with features and just simply built very well. It’s truly a beautiful shoe…but in my usual 11, including wearing my typical sock, I was swimming in it. Like actually feeling it might fall off. I ran the # thinking it was mistakingly an extra wide or mislabeled. Nope. Huge disappointment knowing I’d have to return and might not get the same price on 10.5…but did. Any ways the half size is considerably smaller, albeit according to the chart showing only a .6 mm difference than the 11 I originally got. In summary, it is a great shoe. Warm, functional, waterproof and comfortable…and frankly you can’t go wrong with it for any purpose or occasion. ... show more

I work as a Process Engineer and while I love my lace up Keens for the support and durability, at my new company I find myself in meetings with executive/senior management more frequently and want to maintain the white collar presentation in my wardrobe. These shoes are the perfect in between for looking sharp, clean, and professional; and rugged and durable with insulation that keeps my feet comfortable on the 40 degree production floor, or even going through the freezers. I usually have to size up a full size in shoes to accomodate my relatively wide feet. Not with these. These fit me well, in a normal width. If you have wide feet, these are worth a shot. Besides the fit, the insulation works well, and the tread is good in the rain in snow. These are really good.

These shoes are pretty comfortable and live up to being waterproof. The biggest complaint I have about them is that they can be difficult to put on, particularly because the back of the shoe at the ankle wants to “roll over” as you’re sliding your foot into it. The shoe could greatly benefit from having a pull tab on the back of them. ... show more

This is the second pair I have purchased. I wore the last pair out over several years. Very comfortable and the insulation keeps your toes warm in the cold.     • Finally found what my feet have been looking for.

I used to only buy Dr. Marten slip on shoes, but the ones I liked are no longer available. I've tried Merrell's (I liked the old, World Legend, but the newer Jungle Moc was way too narrow) Sketchers (that's a no from me dog) and now these Keen's. This is what I've been looking for in a slip-on shoe, not too hard to get my hooves in and out of, and not so loose that they slip off un-expectedly. I have high arches, and these are comfortable. I am a bridge officer on a ship, so I wear these 12 hrs. a day, 7 days a week for 3 weeks straight, they aren't being abused by any means, but they are holding up great and most importantly staying comfortable. I typically wear a size 13 and these 13's fit as expected. I won't hesitate to purchase another pair in the future, when/if these do wear out. These shoes aren't the most attractive I've ever seen, but i like them and have no doubt that they'll hold up for quite a while. I now see these same shoes are selling for $150 and I bought them for $78, I don't know if I would feel comfortable spending nearly double for the same shoe. ... show more
