The bike is very nice! Comparable to similar bikes from Trek and Giant found at local bike shops for about half the price in that it comes with disc brakes, an aluminum frame and a high quality shimano shifter. Other bikes in this price range do not offer any of those features. Assembly was easy, took about 20 minutes. The brake levers are kind of hard for small hands to reach so I am replacing them with smaller levers. Also the stem for the handbar is kind of long so I am replacing that with a short stem found on amazon for $10. The finish an colors of the bike are very nice! Great bike! ... show more

So far so good my daughter loves it, i cut the seat post down 2 inches with her being 47.5 inches and 8yrs. old she is just tall enough to ride it. Wouldnt recommend for kids smaller than that. The gears are a little hard for her to change but all and all solid BIKE for the price. Because of how its packed u need to be careful unboxing or you can brake the spokes. After fine tuning the HAND brakes so she can reach them and adjusting the disc brake, which you can find on you tube im probably going to buy another one for my 9 yr. Old...do yourself a favor and use your own tools and tighten all the bolts ... show more

They sent a bike someone else had returned. It was missing the seat adjuster. Handles were resembled in the wrong direction. Painted surface had dinks in several spots. I will probably fix it myself to avoid returning such a big item but if you’re not handy this bike can become a headache.

I'll start off with saying I had to return the first one I had due to a faulty brake line after I had it all put together. The front brake cable wasn't crimped off correctly at the end so it wouldn't close the brake onto the wheel. I tried fixing it myself, but it wasn't something I had the tools for after looking up the process online. I was able to box it back up and send it back and got a replacement a couple days later. The replacement went together just fine and works as a bike should, brakes and all. It looks great and the blue is a really nice shade. The seat is comfortable and is easy to adjust. It stays where you want it to, as do the handle bars. I wasn't going to install the mud guard at first, but then I remembered when I was a kid and would get that splatter line up my back sometimes, so yeah, that was installed immediately after remembering that lol. The kickstand folds out and in easily enough while not just falling out on its own and supports the bike with ease. The wheels seem durable, and while the kids haven't really gone off-roading or anything like that very much, they should have problems riding through a field or anything either. The brakes both work great and make stopping easy, so far. After the issue with the first bike, I'll be watching it closely. They are Shimano brakes though, so I have a feeling they'll be OK. ... show more

You need to know how to service a bike to make this one work. While the bike has good features such as disk brakes, the components are of the cheapest kind, and will require hours of adjustment to work. This bike will not work out of the box, but with the right tools, it becomes quite usable. Buy it if you are not sure if your child will take on to biking, before you invest a thousand bucks in a great bike. ... show more
