This umbrella is sooo cute and it has two layers of fabric, but as other reviewers posted, it is soooo hard to close! You have to really push very hard to get it to stay collapsed and the first gust of wind broke on of the metal hinge parts so now it’s collapsed on one side. I’ve only had it for two whole months and live in Southern California, so it’s not like I’ve used it excessively, although I has rained more than usual. These annoyances wouldn’t have been a big deal if this was a cheap $10 umbrella, but it’s Kate Spade and nearly $50!! So I definitely expected more. I can’t even return it now because the return window has closed. SO annoyed!! ... show more

I love Kate Spade and the design of the umbrella is so cute, but I was very disappointed with this purchase. The umbrella is adorable, however it is extremely hard to close. The button often gets stuck for when it needs shut. When the button doesn't get stuck, I have to use so much force to push the umbrella back into its small position. Then when I try to clasp the umbrella so it can fit back in it's sleeve, that is also extremely hard and impossible to fit back into the sleeve. On a positive note, when it is open and in use it works perfectly. Just awkward and time consuming when I struggle to close it. ... show more

    • Let down with Kate spade product
The wrap around holder button broke so it never stayed closed and then one of the stabilizers broke so it didn’t stay up. It wasn’t used much so it was disappointing.
