I do a lot of baking, so ordered these oven mitts as replacements for some thin ones that had worn down. These are small mitts with silicone dots on the inside to help with better grip. The design is lovely and colorful and exactly what I was looking for in my kitchen. They do extend only to the wrist, so if you need longer mitts to reach into the back of an oven, these aren't what you want. They do a great job of blocking heat and I have been able to remove cakes and other baked items easily without feeling any heat come through the mitt. The only downside to these is the stitching quality. On the inside of the pair of mitts I got, the stitching inside was very loose and several spots were just loose threads which began to unravel as soon as I turned the mitts inside out. I went back and looked at my Dollar Tree oven mitts and even they are sewn better than these. I'm not quite sure why oven mitts at a premium price aren't sewn in a sturdy fashion, but here we are. I probably wouldn't pay for these at the current price of $24, I've had other oven mitts in much sturdier condition than these for a much lower price. ... show more
