  • HIGH PERFORMANCE COMPONENTS The KastKing ReKon baitcasting reels are designed for tough trolling conditions and uses the best components. For smooth and trouble-free operation KastKing uses 3 double shielded, stainless-steel ball bearings in high stress points plus the Instant anti-reverse bearing. KastKing ReKon main gears and worm shafts are made of precision machined brass. Its pinion gear and line guide shaft are high quality stainless-steel.
  • GREAT LINE CAPACITY KastKing kept these fishing reels as compact as possible while still providing tons of line capacity to anglers using leadcore, heavy braid, or strong monofilament fishing line. The size 10, size 20 and size 30 ReKon cast reel will hold over 250 yards of 20 lb. mono or about 10 colors of Micro Leadcore line and over 320 yards of 25 lb. mono or equivalent braided line respectively.
  • TWO HANDLE OPTIONS KastKing designed the handles to be different on the two models for a reason. The size 10 ReKon is mostly for Kokanee, Walleye and Trout so KastKing included a comfortable, double paddle handle with EVA grips. The larger size 20 and 30 reel has a single Power Handle with a comfortable round knob that gives more leverage for larger fish and longer retrieves for Salmon, Steelhead, Lake Trout, Striped Bass, or other uses such as a catfish reel that require more fishing line.

The KastKing ReKon Level Wind is my third KastKing reel. I’ve had great performance for a few years from my KastKing Royale Legend for bass fishing here in Florida lakes. It’s as rock solid and smooth casting today as it was on day one. I also have the KastKing Sharky Baitfeeder spinning rod that I use for saltwater fishing in the Gulf, and it also has performed flawlessly. The ReKon Level Wind is replacing my trusty Penn 309 Level Wind which has become less trusty the last two years requiring new parts to keep it functioning, and it’s broken down again. With the cost of more parts being high, I could get a new reel for less, so it was time to retire it. I wanted a newer technology, solid reel for trolling and pier fishing, that holds the drag where I set it. I decided on the KastKing ReKon Level Wind, size 20, because of my great experience with the brand, their explanation of the gearing/drag technology, and other buyer’s positive reviews. Right out of the box you feel it’s a solid, hefty reel, smooth winding, with beefy controls, and an aluminum handle. This has nothing to do with fishing, but I also like the look of the black and red, just like my Sharky reel. I used mono on the Penn but I’ve ordered braid to try on the new ReKon. KastKing offers high quality and many features at a very reasonable (low!) price. I’m expecting the ReKon to be my third outstanding KastKing reel, so I definitely recommend KastKing, and think you will also like the ReKon Level Wind. Another 5-star customer here. I'm sorry I'm redoing my response, the reel I got was the wrong one 1st off and I had ordered the right side with the line counter but the Amazon app glitch and I showed I ordered the right hand with the line counter but I got the one with out thats the only problem I had with it it wasn't the sellers fault just Amazon's app the reel is good quality and it came right on time like the seller said it would and I haven't had time to respond to the seller but im sure he or she fix the problem not the one I wanted but it's a good reel for the money I've use kastking and all there reels hold up to the challenge trust me been using them for 7 yrs now and haven't had a problem. Bopught and tried this KastKing ReKon Round Baitcasting Fishing Reel out for the first time in Deception Pass in Washington State yesterday and it worked just like an expensive reel. No problems at all. I ran 50 pound braided line in heavy current with bottom fishing jigs from 4 ounces to 16 ounces and the reel handled everything just as it was supposed to. I also bought a Sougayilang reel off Temu for even cheaper than this reel, but that one felt like a cheap reel where this one didn't. You could feel a bit of a vibration when letting out line on that one but this one was perfectly smooth. Hopefully it holds up over time. The other reel did pull in a 35" Ling Cod (Just under the 36" restriction) which was great. This reel will have its chance. ... show more

I'm very happy with this reel! Bought this in the size 10 to replace an Okuma reel with a poorly performing drag. I use this with light monofilament line on a downrigger rod and although I didn't strictly need the line counter I like being certain how much line I have out behind the downrigger ball. This reel is lighter and has a much better fit and finish than my more expensive Okuma did, with a buttery smooth drag and smooth, consistent line counter. Used it yesterday and fought several 20-plus inch salmon with excellent results. I'm going to buy another and try it with lead core line, and if it's as good as this one then I'll replace all of my Okumas with these. ... show more

So I've literally only used this reel 5 times, and noticed the mag brake adjustment didn't seem to be working right. I gave the benefit of doubt and loosened it just enough so the threads had good snug contact, made a few casts, then I noticed the cap for drag and spring had popped off. Still, with all that gone, I cannot get my spool to drop to the ground with resistance, it works, but no far casts, I guess I'd rather that Than no spool tension... ... show more
