It’s easy to tie strong knots, and the thin diameter lets me spool more line without sacrificing strength. I’ve used the 30 lb Teal Camo, and it hasn’t faded much after several trips. The included fluorocarbon leader is a great bonus. No tangles, no frays—just solid, reliable performance. Great value for the quality.

It is very smooth and does not tangle. It was easy to tie knots with this line. I like the high vis color. I have used this in the past and have had good performance with this line and no issues.

Breaks easily. I had high hopes for this line - braid, supposedly high strength. Yet it continually breaks under light pressure! I do a lot of fishing in lily pads, so I wanted something that would stand up to the stain. I don't know if I just got a bad roll or what - but I can't count on this KastKing line. ******************* UPDATE - KastKing reached out to me and offered a replacement spool for the one I had. So far it seems to be working well. I am having less trouble with the new spool - I appreciate their concern for my satisfaction.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Strong, Smooth, and Reliable This braided fishing line exceeded my expectations. It’s incredibly strong and holds up well even under heavy tension. I didn’t experience any fraying or breakage, and it casts smoothly with minimal resistance. The line has great sensitivity, so I could feel even the slightest bites, and it tied knots securely without slipping. I’ve used it in both freshwater and saltwater and it performed flawlessly. I have been using Destron X8 this whole fishing season and I am impressed. It's strong, smooth and holds it color better than other lines. That last part is important as I often the chartreuse color so I can watch my line. I have seen other lines fade quicker. This version of Destron casts well with it being a smooth line which is important for casting finesses lures a long distance. I don't see much difference between it and the more expensive lines I use. I really have no Cons for this line, especially considering how much cheaper it can be than other name brands when it's on sale. Dextron X8 is a bit thinner than other braids at a similar weight rating (J-Braid, Suffix 832) so bumping up a little on weight might be advisable in certain conditions. I often use 8lb for Ned rigs and dropshots, but may try 10lb next year in areas where fish run much larger, just to be safe. I have not used the X4 version yet, so no comments on it yet. I just bought a spool for trolling applications so we will see how it performs over the next year. The X8 has been durable and combined with the color holding up well, I can see that I will likely get multiple years out of it on each reel. That is a good value.

Updated review: Used it for the first time, first cast with a Texas rig, only a 1/16th oz. Weight and a worm. About 30 feet went out and the line snapped off. I’m like ok I must have done something wrong, so I retied and cast again and the same thing happened “Snap” ok that’s it. Funny thing is I was able to hook both lines with another pole and get my rigs back. This line is garbage! I was using a brand new bait casting reel and I know it wasn’t the reel problem. The setup was light enough where it should have stopped the lure and not broke the line. Two times in a row? I had two rods with this line and I set them aside. Yes I was disappointed and mad because I expected better especially braid line, I will be stripping this line off both reels. Sorry Kastking but this outing was a FAIL! Update: I couldn’t return the line through Amazon because I didn’t try it before the 30 day return limit so I contacted Kastking myself. They had no problem taking care of the situation. Winnie sent me a replacement of equal value. (Upgraded to Hammer Braid), Great service and have no problem buying from Kastking again. I’ll give Kastking customer support: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
