Ought this for pike and walleye fishing. I like it a lot. I fish out of a kayak so the fact it folds up is nice. Very good construction. Light but not flimsy. It even came with a strage bag. Can't go wrong with this one.

Great landing net. Folds down with little effort for easy stow away. Big enough to land most fresh water fish. Long sturdy handle and a net that wont tie you lures up. I keep this net stowed away on my Bass Boat. Takes up very little space considering how big it is.

Just received mine today and havnt used it yet although it seems like it's really well built, the bag is kinda useless in my opinion and Folding it in half is a bit cumbersome but I'll never be folding it or putting it in the bag so no big deal. The aluminum framing is high quality and the nylon netting is coated with a thin rubber which is exactly what I wanted It's a little different dimension wise then advertised 19 wide x 23 long but bigger is better than too small, I would say this net would easily handle fish up to 40in and it fits right up there with those $150 nets ... show more

Oh KastKing how do I love thee, let me count the ways.... I have been approached so many times about Kastking stuff, I think it is just the combination of price and product quality that always makes me happy to leave a review. This net is no different. Was going to a Trout derby and realized that my old expandable net had rusted since the summer when I last used it at the park. Easy fix! Right to Amazon and onto Kastking to find the Brutus net. I will say I did get confused as to how to assemble the handle to it but once I realized there was a notch and raised part on the aluminum and the cap needs to be unscrewed, I was good. This net flips open to left to right so you can't just operate it like an umbrella like some may think. Comes with a bag which is SUPER helpful since it contains the water that comes off the net as it is drying rather than your car. Another win for Kastking and as usual, another five star review from me. ... show more

We have had one of these for a couple years and the part I like most is that it is out of the way until it’s needed. I can open it up quickly and be ready to net a fish. Then fold it back up partially or fully and it’s not an obstruction. This would be a replacement as the original was stepped on in the dark and the front pivot was broken. I had failed to fold it up that time! A couple zip ties and it was used like that for a year. The only issue I’ve had with the netting was that a larger treble hook loves to get tangled in the small holes. Size 4 treble on a squarebill to be exact. The fish flopped and tied a knot around it. I did have to cut a little but the net was not hurt. It didn’t fray and it held up all summer. If I break this one, I’ll get another. If I’d change anything about it, I’d have a larger mesh hole to help with tangling on the hooks. It was only that one bait though, never had much trouble with others. ... show more
