We have quite a few geese that occupy our pond. We started with a couple...we called them Brad and Angelina. Then we found a lone baby goose on the road and brought him home. We called him Balloo. The following year, Brad, Angelina and Balloo returned (with girlfriend), giving birth to six others. We thought ..... awwwww! How cute! Fast forward 8 years, and our pond supports a whopping 9 dozen geese, give or take, and our awwwwwness has been depleted. Now they are those fr&ggging floating outhouses! Despite regularly tossing in both Pond Clear and Cutrine Plus, the surface algae continued to flourish. This year, though, we bought a Kasco fountain, and the algae is once again under control. We thought the geese would hate it, but they seem to appreciate the cleaner water. Guess my next purchase will be a hunting license.

I received the fountian 3 days after ordering it which was nice surprise! That was on a Friday night when I returned home from work. I had to work on Saturday and when I returned home my son-in-law had installed it for me. I was recently widowed and it was a very kind jester on his part. I could not be happier with it. You do need knowledge of electric to install it properly. I highly recommend this to anyone with a pond. Added bonus it is set up with an easy to use timer! For mothers day my daughter and her very sweet husband and adding a light kit to it!!!

Performing as expected and as advertised. The instructions were easy to understand and accomplish. I wish I had ordered the unit with the 100 foot cord although a 75 foot cord would have been ideal. I enclosed the power cord with electrical conduit because of some snapper turtles in my pond.

I recently purchased the 3400VFX fountain for aeration and aesthetics. I have to kayak out about every day and remove clumps of algae. I was wondering if anybody else had come up with a netting or solution to minimize the amount of algae that accumulates in the furnished plastic cover?
