Instructions were 6 pages of complete confusion! All very poor diagrams. They have you assemble the smallest parts first like the keyboard tray, the computer cart then the shelf. An hour later you get to work on the desk itself. It helps if you have more than one person obviously. Make sure you assemble very close to where you want it permanently placed because you can't really move it once it's assembled. Assembly of this desk was barely accomplished in a completely empty 10x10 room. So make sure you have plenty of space available. Also worth noting is the two metal legs at the very center corner of the desk. It doesn't leave you much legroom while sitting. The manufacturer would have probably done better to use a metal pole for support instead of these to conjoined metal legs. They just seem to get in the way. The shelf can be moved to any location on the desk and is secured by clamps that screw in from the bottom. ... show more

SAVE YOUR SANITY. Go to a store for a desk. This has too many pieces and came defective, with a piece that needed holes drilled. Had to abandon the project -- no drill. It then two nearly two weeks to get them to agree that I could return it. It just left with UPS today and I had to pay for pickup. I expect a full refund. ... show more

The assembly is mostly easy, but it's easy to get confused by elements and make mistakes (though they're easy to correct). It's a great value for the size of the desk and the quality of the material, but you may find that random nuts and screws will come loose after some use (the entire keyboard tray just fell off on mine, but was easily put back on). Overall it's a sleek, modern desk that fills all my needs and fits perfectly with where I wanted it to go, the assembly was just a pain in the ass. ... show more

Utter complete garbage. Has no durability. While assembling, screws will break the particle board and no longer tighten. Instructions are darn near useless. You basically get a picture telling to assemble to pieces, but there will be six holes on one side and the picture does not represent the six holes and then target the ones you are suppose use during the specific step. You do not find out till later while assembling another part that you chose the wrong hole. Never a good thing when working with particle board. Unscrewing and re-screwing.
