Will be utilizing this in the summertime - either for camping, picnics/parties outdoor or both. We were looking for something that was well made and durable, but could be popped up and taken down quickly. It is definitely heavier than I'd expected, but that is because it is in fact durable and meant to withstand the elements. I chose the black color because it goes with everything and I do like that it comes with a convenient carry case and sandbags in case it gets windy during an event. I see people are using this on the beach as well - I am sure there are lighter options so I probably wouldn't use it for that specifically.

Space is very small. Eventhough I checked the dimensions before I bought it & measured it once it was up, it is a small tent. I actually bought it because somehow I could only find the solid sides sold with three sides! It would make for extra space to put things or for a small kids mattress. The tent was nice overall and easy to set up. Keep in mind that if you want to use it with either the screen or solid sides that it will limit your access to the the screen room & tent - there is only one opening in either the screen or solid walls & it's in the middle of one side ( or at least w/ kamp keeper brand). So either use it without any sides or rig it to work.

While a tent of this size is best (and recommended) to be erected by two or more people, I have no problem doing it solo and have on many occasions..... it takes a few trips around the perimeter and a few little techniques had to be invented, but it works because it is well-made. With 2 or more peeps it's a breeze to erect. It is very sturdy, attractive, and comes with sandbags for tiedown that are generous in size and well-made, as well as a sturdy carry bag with wheels. It's a bit heavy for the beach cart and hangs off the back, but we make it work. Highly recommend.

I had high hopes for this as the concept is great, but the execution is poor. I did a water test with a shower spray, seams leak terribly. The water proofing is only PU1000, needs to be PU3000. Material is too thin. The window does not zip at the top creating another potential leak point. The ends are tapered (no logical reason to do this) which takes away from floor space. No place to hang a light. Any water infiltration is a show stopper. I'll be returning.

Heads up that I received this item through the Amazon Vine program. The first item i received had a damaged bag, so i reached out to the seller to see if they could replace just the bag. unfortunately that wasnt possible so i had to do a return but that happened smoothly. When i saw this item i was pretty excited about it, what a brilliant idea. I have a 10x10 canopy and i always take it camping with me so bringing the side tent is a neat solution that could save space overall. Im pleased to say that the bag appears to have some extra room in it, so that it will actually fit back into the bag when im done with it. the instructions are sewn into the bag, but i went ahead without them anyway. I can say that this works exactly how you would imagine. I had my canopy at the tallest setting and it fits well. There are possibilities for how to clip the tent to the inside of the canopy, I went with attaching them to the adjacent sides (see picture) to get things pulled a bit tighter and keeping the height. Where I found some problems were: 1) The included poles seem to be a shade too long. If you install them vertically, the back edge of the tent is nice and high, but that creates a flat spot on the roof of the tent (which cant be good when the rain comes). I found that i could keep the gradient on the roof if i installed the bars at and angle (see picture). The seller picture must be blowing a fan into the tent, it doesnt puff up like that. 2) the tent would benefit from having more points to attach pegs, in particular under the door (either side would be ideal), but weirdly there are no peg loops on the door side except in the corners. 3) The sleeping quarters could be larger, I say this becasue you HAVE to install the guy lines beyond the footprint of the tent to make it stand up with the poles. So, the tent COULD be larger, it could actually just be a triangle that reaches from the top of the canopy to the floor without poles and without guy ropes and that would give you more floor space and do away with the flat-roof issues. but it isnt that. I score it as 3.5 stars, rounded to 4. the concept is fabulous, the quality of the tent is good, but i think it has missed a few little details in design. UPDATE: I dropped it down to 3 stars because i left this up in some 'light' rain (i mean light rain too). I thought it would be interesting to see what happened, and unfortunately it is a bit disappointing. Water was pooled on the flat roof, and water was inside the tent. It appears to have come in through the window on the back or through the roof itself. The result is that this is relegated to a fair-weather-only tent which reduces its usefulness.

Picture is VERY deceiving! This is only 4ft wide (as described). I saw 10x10 and the picture assumed it was big for a queen mattress. My fault. It fits my straight legged canopy perfectly. Probably would not have bought it due to size. It is a very nice tent, fits a twin size Coleman blow up bed.
