These are not great files - these are not even good files. They are a "minimum viable product". I paid 9.99 for a kit of 10, and honestly at that price I wasn't expecting anything else. A similar kit from Pferd, Corradi or other quality brand costs about 10x more, and is obviously a lot better. To give you an idea, this is a . The files are not very precisely made, the cut is pretty rough, and the "handle" is marginal - they just dipped the files in red plastic. They come in a very flimsy plastic envelope, and they're covered in some disgusting anti-rust agent. You'll want to wipe them down before use. These are way smaller than the description claimed. The scoring only covers about 2/3rds of the exposed blade The thickest file bent immediately while I was very carefully testing it on the rim of an aluminum can. This metal is so soft that it could be mistaken for lead.

Due to the nature of 3D printing with PLA filament, often times parts need to be filed down slightly to mate with other parts. Yes - these files are smaller than they appear in the photos... They have a lubricant coating on them that smells like vintage garage, oil, WD40, gas...not expecting that, but doesn't bother me really... I use them to clean up guitar frets and they work fine thus far. I'll update after 3 months or so. ... show more

I stopped using sandpaper because of how effective these are. A good pair of nippers, a steady hand, these, and a nail buffing block are all you need to get rid of nub marks completely. I use a “jewelers lens” to get up close and personal and these most often(on good gaiting) get rid of marks all by themselves. The different profiles allow you to choose the best option for every angle. $12 for gunpla files that will last 50+ years??? Deal howie!!! ... show more

Exicellent set of files. I use them to sharpen auger bits, they work great for getting into the small spots on small bits. Duribility seems very good so far. the varity of files lets me sharpen the screw as well as the auger. Rubber handles don't stay on real well, but I don't consider that a problem.
