    • Good intro set for people just starting with Japanese hand tool use. Not quality for professionals.
Gift bought for my fiance. He really loved them. There was an issue with the hand planner. When we adjusted as the directions said, part of the tool was chipped or bent while adustin The value of the set compared to buying the tools separate.

Fun starter kit. Well made. This is not meant to make you a master Japanese carpenter. If you like it other fine tools will follow.
