At the sale price this is a bargain. Very nice storage block, a complete functional set for the kitchen and very much like a famous name German set. Knives are stamped, not forged ... like those they copied. Handles may have come off same production line. The worst I can say is this design, like many stamped knives, does not have bolsters on blades or handles. But I don't see any tendency to cut into hands or gloves. Blades are not as stiff as forged blades but not nearly as flexible as cheap dime store knives. They don't have any tendency to rust but it's too early to tell how edges will hold up after lots of use. I feel confident in gifting it for use in a church kitchen. ... show more

I ordered this kitchen knife set specifically because the photos showed no logo on the block and blades. I received a kitchen knife set with a logo on the block and blades which reads, esonmus.
