I had a smaller selfie stick previously, but this one is so much better. It has a much longer extension and is very useful as a tripod in tight spaces where you would not otherwise be able to spread the legs of a regular full size tripod. Shortly after buying a GoPro 11 I bought half a dozen different mounts -- a magnetic one, a small selfie stick one, a suction cup one, etc. All of those mounts have their place, but 99% of the time, I use this one. When completely compressed, the stick easily fits in my backpack. I always have it with me. Flip each of the four tabs that lock the stick's segments into place and it extends to a 5' tall tripod. Fully extending the stick and converting it into a tripod takes about 10 seconds. It's super fast and super simple. It has the typical screw mount on top so you can mount a GoPro or a phone, depending on the adapter you're using. The only problems I've had with the tripod are that the legs don't have a super wide stance. I've had it blow over in moderate wind, and it's not great for using on unlevel ground. Indoors, it's perfect. Outdoors most of the time, it's perfect. It's super fast to adjust the height, so you can move it around and adjust the height on the fly. I don't use the remote too often, but it works just like every other Bluetooth camera remote. There's a convenient holder for the remote on the tripod so it's always handy. I shoot a lot of "vanlife" videos and being able to adjust the height so quickly makes this my most used stand. I can fully extend the tripod for outside shots and move it inside the van immediately. I've used it as a selfie-stick while walking and riding a bike and it's well balanced. Very happy with my purchase. ... show more

    • Good for the money but longevity a concern
Purchased this in Aug of 2023 to be used for some short videos where a tripod is preferred. The overall quality for the money was better than expected. The remote worked surprisingly well and the material seemed to be very good. Unfortunately, in just over a month, the phone clip stopped tightening and now it “flops” slightly and the video is no longer quality due to the clip not holding it tightly. I would have expected it to work a bit longer than a month but you get what you pay for. I did contact the company but got no response back. I would probably spend a bit more money next time to get something with a warranty or a bit more quality. ... show more
