This is the next best thing to an up-scaler. I have tried two other brands and this one comes in lead for me. Clear crisp picture for what it is, and I don't notice any delay. The other two I tried sell under the titles "Wii to HDMI Adapter Cable [1080P/720P] Picture Quality Upscaler Resolution Enhancer " and "GANA Wii to HDMI Converter Adapter with Hdmi Cable Connect Wii Console to HDMI "; the first being horrible, the second nearly as good as this one, but not quite. ... show more

Works easy, jut plug it in and go. And they stand behind their product! I've bought three (for friends and I) and found out after return period that one was defective (cut out and in). I contacted them and they arranged for a replacement, and even covered the return shipping. Great Customer Service!

I opened the adapter, plugged in a new HDMI cable to my TV and Wii, and this worked great with my Samsung 55" TV! No hassle. Tip after some research about Wii Resolution - this enables you to use 480p resolution in your Wii's display settings, which made a significant improvement in readability and clarity when playing Twilight Princess. This adapter is so easy and allows hdmi performance so I can keep playing on newer tvs with ease. Picture and sound are great, ant the overall quality is exactly what I wanted. Would strongly recommend to people who still love their wii.

This is the one you want. All the other wii2hdmi type solutions I’ve tried are actual garbage in comparison. This one outputs 480p correctly in widescreen and standard. It doesn’t even require an external power source. Works with both Wii and WiiU(idk why you wouldn’t just use the built in but it works lol). ... show more

Images are in order of: Kaico on portable monitor, Generic adapter on portable monitor. Kaico on 4K TV, Generic adapter on 4K TV. The portable monitor scales 480p signals in correct 16:9, the Kaico monitor handles that perfectly. The TV doesn’t know how to handle this low resolution so it’s squished, this is the fault of the TV. Overall if you want a picture over HDMI, this works but there is more affordable and better picture quality options out there. I’ve tried multiple different HDMI ports, cables, direct to the TV or via an HDMI splitter, the result is the same. The picture is surrounded in a box and it’s casted in a green hue. This issue is not evident on the generic Wii2HDMI adapter. Being a user of Kaico HDMI adapters for Dreamcast and PS2 I noticed a green tint on those but it was subtle. This was horrible. I am returning this. I hope Kaico will improve this product in the future. Pros: easy HDMI out, 480p -> 720p upscale support. Green LED on adapter to show power is on. “Dongle” for better cable management. Cons: picture in a box. Green hue overcast. More pricey than better working generics. ... show more
