These sticks do not have a smooth application, too much tugging on the eyelid. They are not really waterproof, as they seem not to dry so there is creasing on my eyelid, and they do wipe away easily. When I first got these, I tried them on my hand and was surprised by how easily they glide on and do not snag or pull on the skin. It is buttery smooth. The pencil shape makes it easier to hold and apply as well. However, when I applied these to my eyes, the color payoff was terrible. Except for the darkest shade of brown that BARELY shows, the rest look like I have nothing on my eyes. I have olive toned medium skin tone. Maybe on lighter skin tones, the colors would appear more pigmented. I got no irritation or itching after using these. They did not run or budge all day. There is no wait time to dry them. Eye shadow sticks are among the things that intrigue me, that I try from time to time and then move on. Now that I have a full set right in front of me, I felt I needed to make a full faith effort. The selection of colors in this set is good, although I wish there had been more of the darker shades. However, I may purchase a couple of single shadow sticks to fill in the darker shades I want. That being noted, the shadow sticks are easy to work with. easy to apply, no pulling on the delicate skin around the eyes. Once applied, it is easy to blend. It is a bit creamy for very easy blending. Once in place, the shadow dries into place and then stays in place, no smudging.... very nice. This set is well and competitively priced. I think eye shadow collections at this price are a very good value. ... show more
