  • FANTASTIC GUITAR
This Kadence Electric Acoustic guitar is absolutely phenomenal in sound quality, playability, tunability, and appearance. It plays and sounds better than my guitars costing $800.00 to $1,000.00 dollars. The strings it came with are very good and the setup and intonation were spot on out of the box. (I did make a small truss rod adjustment to slightly lower the action to my preference). I have twelve guitars in my collection and this is one of my favorites. Buy this guitar, you will be pleased with it if the one you receive is like mine. At $135.00 it is an astonishing bargain. Kudo's to Kadence! ... show more

  • 301 AVIAN DR
I have 4 different types of guitars, and when I bought this guitar, I did not expect to be surprised by it. It is a guitar that is unparalleled in the sweetness of its sound and ease of playing. It is a guitar that is equal to everything I have, and I will regret it if I do not buy it. It is a wonderful guitar in every sense of the word. ... show more

  • Great sounding guitar!
My son loves this guitar! It’s not of professional quality but he was able to tune it easily and it works great for him to learn on. The design is perfect and just what he was looking for. It’s a good guitar to learn on for the price. It’s sounds great to me when I hear him playing. It has the perfect flexibility in the strings so they don’t hurt his fingers while playing. Would recommend. ... show more

  • Different, but pleasantly surprised
Arrived in a single box, guitar shaped, using the bag as a support for the neck. Accessories were packed in a single bag in another area in the box. Upon initial review, it has a surprising amount of sustain and sound. I am a local luthier in my region, (SE Tennessee), repairing and restoring about 2-4 guitars a week. I collect off-name guitars as a hobby, when I can afford it. I saw the Kadence and thought I'd try it. The Kadence Acoustica is a great value for a beginner. IT DOES NEED A SIMPLE SETUP, at least mine does. The neck was almost bone straight, which is fabulous. There was no fret sprout. Frets seem level for the money. But the saddle, which is plastic, was way too high. This is a simple fix which most owners can do. Simply loosen the strings so you can pull the pins on the saddle and remove the strings from that area. Sand the BOTTOM of the saddle so it sits lower in the groove. Be careful not to go too much, but you can see with your eye how much. You need what is called a break point for the strings to climb over before being held by the pins, while still keeping the action low as possible. Go SLOW, you get one chance to make it right. That is about it, at least the one I received. Tuners, OK. Not the best, but it tuned up well, fairly smoothly, with no excess play or grinding in the tuners. Electronics are cheap, but they work, and I was able to tune just fine with a fresh battery. Strings are cheap, but this is one of those guitars that demands Extra Lights. Don't try to make it louder with Lights or Mediums. The Ash top is interesting. A veneer, not swamp ash, but cut like veneer, where they rotate the log and take a thin slice off as it goes around. Instead of all the growth rings showing, you get a different look. I would have never selected Ash, (forget Swamp ash, it is not), but the resonance is surprising. I like it! My guitar has walnut for back and sides, and has five ply binding on the front, and single ply binding on the back. The saddle is held with glue and two screws, should hold forever. This is a bargain and sounds great. I know the reviews in 2023 hit this hard, and having lived in China years ago, I think they changed factories and now produce a decent product. Highly recommended for beginners, fireside plays, and even maybe as a backup for a small band if you can get the electronics to blend. For this money, just buy it. ... show more

  • Great guitar, but flawed.
This guitar arrived in great condition except the electronics don’t work when I plug it in. Sounds great, looks great but sadly the electronics didn’t work when plugged in.

  • not like the photo at all!!
ok, so this guitar I received does not look like the photo at all, I mean not even close! However, it turns out to be a great guitar, but, I personally think this a classic bait and switch. So, buyer beware, I even replaced the 1st one, and received an exact duplicate, still, as a pro, I kept #2

  • Much lighter color and UPDATE
Does not look at all like pic way lighter color. Cheap strings. Upper e broke right off the bat trying to tune. Using a tuner. One on right is the first one sent. I ask for a replacement because the finish was not as dark as the picture. I got the even lighter one on the left. I like the way it sounds but thinking about returning both. ... show more
