There are several things I like about this set, but first I'll tell you what I think of the filters. First is that there are 3 of them to choose from, 4, 6, and 8 point, so that I have the flexibility to make the shot I desire based on the lighting situation. Next is the quality of the mounting. Several screw-filters I've used are difficult to attach resulting cross-threading or sticking. These have well cut threads that are easy to get on and off my lens. Also, and very importantly, is that the filter can be turned after it is attached so that the photographer can adjust the angle of the star points to suit the frame. I've read that some star filters reduce the quality of the image, but I have yet to see that with these filters. With or without them, the clarity seems to remain the same to my eye. If you have a better eye for this, you may see a difference, but I cannot. Due to weather issues I have yet to take these out at night for a full test. I've been limited to using my phone flash to see what they do to bright, pinpoint lights, so take this with a grain of salt. With a flashlight in a darkened room (not dark, darkened), the points are refracted into thin rainbows as shown in their picture of the diamond. Truly a beautiful look. Lastly I'd like to point out the superior case they come in. It looks really good, but the most important part is that each pocket is made with a very nice material similar to my wife's yoga pants. Once folded up, it is held closed with industrial grip hook and loop (think: Velcro). Inside this case, these filters are very well protected. I highly recommend these.

If you’re like me and love adding a little extra magic to your photos, you might want to check out the K&F Concept 77mm Star Filters Kit. This set includes three filters: 4 points, 6 points, and 8 points. They turn any light source into a starburst, making your night shots and holiday lights look super cool. First off, the build quality is pretty solid. These filters are made with 18-layer coated optical glass, which sounds fancy, but in simple terms, it means they’re clear and durable. They’re also ultra-slim, so you won’t have to worry about vignetting (those dark corners in your photos) even on wide-angle lenses. Using these filters is pretty straightforward. Just screw them onto your lens and you’re good to go. I’ve been using them mostly for night photography and cityscapes, and the results have been awesome. I am continuously impressed with how much extra K&F includes with their offerings, especially when compared to the prices their competitors are charging. You get this incredibly nice filter holder and a set of 3 filters for the same price that other companies want for just a single filter. Star filters are difficult to work with these days since so many lights are collections of LEDs that throw off odd patterns, but they can still be fun to play with. In my examples I don't have the filters mounted to my lens and am instead holding it in front of the lens. Shot with the M.Zuiko 7-14 on the OM-1 mkII.
