  • A great set of star filters
Size: 67mm
There are several things I like about this set, but first I'll tell you what I think of the filters. First is that there are 3 of them to choose from, 4, 6, and 8 point, so that I have the flexibility to make the shot I desire based on the lighting situation. Next is the quality of the mounting. Several screw-filters I've used are difficult to attach resulting cross-threading or sticking. These have well cut threads that are easy to get on and off my lens. Also, and very importantly, is that the filter can be turned after it is attached so that the photographer can adjust the angle of the star points to suit the frame. I've read that some star filters reduce the quality of the image, but I have yet to see that with these filters. With or without them, the clarity seems to remain the same to my eye. If you have a better eye for this, you may see a difference, but I cannot. Due to weather issues I have yet to take these out at night for a full test. I've been limited to using my phone flash to see what they do to bright, pinpoint lights, so take this with a grain of salt. With a flashlight in a darkened room (not dark, darkened), the points are refracted into thin rainbows as shown in their picture of the diamond. Truly a beautiful look. Lastly I'd like to point out the superior case they come in. It looks really good, but the most important part is that each pocket is made with a very nice material similar to my wife's yoga pants. Once folded up, it is held closed with industrial grip hook and loop (think: Velcro). Inside this case, these filters are very well protected. I highly recommend these. ... show more

  • Great set of star filters from K&F
Size: 77mm
If you’re like me and love adding a little extra magic to your photos, you might want to check out the K&F Concept 77mm Star Filters Kit. This set includes three filters: 4 points, 6 points, and 8 points. They turn any light source into a starburst, making your night shots and holiday lights look super cool. First off, the build quality is pretty solid. These filters are made with 18-layer coated optical glass, which sounds fancy, but in simple terms, it means they’re clear and durable. They’re also ultra-slim, so you won’t have to worry about vignetting (those dark corners in your photos) even on wide-angle lenses. Using these filters is pretty straightforward. Just screw them onto your lens and you’re good to go. I’ve been using them mostly for night photography and cityscapes, and the results have been awesome. The 4-point filter is great for subtle star effects, while the 6 and 8 points add more drama and sparkle. One thing to keep in mind is that these filters work best with strong light sources. If you’re shooting in dim conditions, the star effect might not be as pronounced. But when you’ve got streetlights, car headlights, or festive lights, these filters shine (pun intended). Also, they come in a nice little carrying case, so you can toss them in your bag without worrying about scratches or dust. Overall, I’d say the K&F Concept Star Filters Kit is a fun and affordable way to jazz up your photography. Whether you’re a pro or just enjoy taking pretty pictures, these filters add that extra bit of sparkle that can make your photos stand out. Happy shooting! ... show more

  • Creative Starburst Effects with High-Quality Filters
Size: 77mm
This K&F concept 77mm Star Filters Kit includes three starburst filters, each producing 4-point, 6-point, and 8-point cross-screen effects. These filters have added a creative and professional touch to my night photography, especially when capturing cityscapes and holiday lights. The starburst effects are stunning and truly elevate the visual appeal of my images. The optical quality of these filters is outstanding. Made with ultra-slim optical glass and featuring an 18-layer coating, the filters effectively reduce glare and reflections. This results in clear, sharp images without any unwanted artifacts. I also appreciate the durability and lightweight design of the filters, which make them easy to handle and transport. The inclusion of three cleaning cloths is a thoughtful touch, ensuring that the filters remain clean and free from dust. One area where the kit could improve is the labeling of the filters. It is not immediately clear which filter produces which starburst effect. This can be a bit inconvenient, especially when working quickly in the field. A simple labeling system would save time and make the filters more user-friendly. Additionally, a better-designed storage case would be a welcome addition to keep the filters organized and protected when not in use. Despite the minor labeling issue, the K&F Concept 77mm Star Filters Kit offers excellent value for the price. The high-quality optical glass and impressive starburst effects make it a valuable tool for any photographer looking to add some creative flair to their work. I highly recommend this kit for its performance and quality, and I look forward to using these filters in many more photo shoots. Pros: High-Quality Optical Glass: The filters are made from ultra-slim optical glass with 18-layer coatings, which significantly reduces glare and reflections, resulting in clear and sharp images. Beautiful Starburst Effects: Each filter creates stunning starburst effects that add a creative and professional touch to night photography, especially when shooting lights and reflections. Durable and Lightweight: The filters are both durable and lightweight, making them easy to carry around without adding bulk to my camera bag. Cleaning Cloths Included: The kit comes with three cleaning cloths, which are very handy for maintaining the filters and ensuring they stay free from dust and smudges. Cons: Lens Labeling: One minor issue I encountered is that the filters are not labeled well. It takes a bit of time to identify which filter creates which starburst effect, especially when you're in the field and need to switch filters quickly. Storage Case: While the filters themselves are of high quality, a better-designed storage case would be a nice addition to keep the filters organized and protected when not in use. ... show more

  • Great for starting out with lens effects
Size: 82mm
I am continuously impressed with how much extra K&F includes with their offerings, especially when compared to the prices their competitors are charging. You get this incredibly nice filter holder and a set of 3 filters for the same price that other companies want for just a single filter. Star filters are difficult to work with these days since so many lights are collections of LEDs that throw off odd patterns, but they can still be fun to play with. In my examples I don't have the filters mounted to my lens and am instead holding it in front of the lens. Shot with the M.Zuiko 7-14 on the OM-1 mkII. ... show more
