  • I love this tripod • Lightweight and portable • So easy to use
Size: 1-Pack-Enhanced
I bought this after seeing it recommended by Marcus Rothkranz on the MarcusPix YouTube channel. If you're not familiar with Marcus, he reviews camera gear and makes awesome videos about it. He loves this tripod and now I do too! I was looking for something really portable. I'm small (5'2" and 100 pounds) so lugging a tripod around is a big deal for me. This tripod is so lightweight that it's not a problem for me to carry at all. It breaks down to a very portable size and comes with a good carrying bag. And it is so easy to break down and set up. While lightweight, it is still very sturdy. I mount my camera on this stand and also use it as a stand for a light or reflector. Because it is so light and portable, it gets a lot of use and it is proving to be very durable. I love it and am so glad I bought it! ... show more

  • Great to use as a light stand or for anything light in the studio
Size: 1-Pack-Enhanced
I wanted to test out this tripod as a light stand for my 28" softbox and speedlite. While yes, it worked, when I had it extended higher, I did not feel 100% confident. With the softbox and speedlite attached at the top and it extended about 6 feet, it didn't feel completely stable. With that being said, the quality of the tripod is good and it is so light and easy to use which I think is its main selling point. It is also very portable and even comes with a carrying case. I can see this being great for smaller monitor lights or really anything that you can attach to a tripod that isn't too heavy. I am leaning more towards 4.5 stars but I will give it 5 just because of the build, portability, and functionality. ... show more

  • Almost Perfect Light Stands
Size: 2-Pack-Basics
This softbox light stand is so close to being perfect! I love the packability, the light weight, and how tall they get once extended. The one thing that prevents them from being 5 stars is the locking mechanism. I wrongfully assumed from the pictures that the legs would lock in the same way my K&F camera tripod legs would. by simply sliding the legs over the notches, and then to pack it up you press down on the lever on the legs to fold them over the notches. I was incorrect. Theres some less-favorable version of this going on. You have to pull out a tab on the legs, situate the leg at approximately the notch you want it set to, then press the tab in. This tab doesnt feel durable and like it will hold up to consistent use. I really wish they would have went with what they have on their camera tripod. Other than that tho i think this is an amazingly well built light weight softbox tripod! ... show more

  • Everything it claims to be. Buy one or two
Size: 1-Pack-Enhanced
I ordered this light stand because I own a K&F Concept articulating tripod and I love it. I believe in the brand so I went for it. Another win. This tripod is extremely light weight. Space grade aluminum or something. The legs click into adjustable positions as with my tripod. The whole thing folds down so incredibly small and the carrying bag is super convenient. The bag is lower quality than the one that came with my tripod but this is a less complex device so no biggie. I use it to hold up my Godox SL60W monolight with a 32" Neewer softbox. It holds up both well without sandbags. At the lower height, it feels stable as ever. 4ft and above I would recommend sandbags. I actually would recommend sandbags for any light stand at any height out of pure peace of mind and CYA. Personal sentiments. I love it and plan to order a second to hold up a motorized slider. I'll update this review once I get that setup up and rolling. ... show more

  • The hinges gave out constantly
Size: 2-Pack-Basics
I am super disappointed. While the tripod is super light weight and perfect for travel. It was overall a waste of money. The legs kept giving out. I had a super light weight nanlite with 2 batteries. Which weighs less than 4kg. Indoor shooting without wind. The legs literally just collapsed in. Broke my nanlite at a wedding. I would love to get the money I lost for my broken light too from a faulty product. Thanks SO much guys! Yes the legs were locked down. Nobody was around the light when it fell. Wtf. ... show more

  • Use light in weight products on them
Size: 2-Pack-Basics
So I was pretty happy to get this dual pack, especially as the reviews were pretty good and the price was right for Black Friday. I have attached photos, one showing how it came in the Amazon box - tons of free room to roam. This guy could have had 4 or 5 of his closest tripod friends in there and still had room. It was just that box in a box. To no ones shock, something was broken. I was wondering why I could here the legs moving around. So there is a close up of the broken leg and how the box it came in looked - I didn't chew the end of the box, that's how it came. It seems that only one or two manufacturers makes these style for everyone that has a tripod even closely resembling this one - they just change the name. It's not a bad idea with the ratchets, and the one that wasn't broken seems to do alright. I am holding panel lights with these for my IT business videos. I am sending them back, of course, due to the damage. I won't be getting another set as I am putting the refund money into more sturdy options. These will work great with those little ring lights that weigh like 4 oz. lol. ... show more

  • Great portability
Size: 2-Pack-Basics
These can fit into very small carry on suit cases. Not the smallest suitcases but pretty small ones.
