This might be one of my favorite light stands. If you're a con-photographer and shoot cosplayers, buy this stand! Its small and lightweight, you can put it the side pocket of a camera bag, quick and easy to set up. The stand is not that study due it being light weight, it still tough to knock over on accident. I wouldn't recommend putting anything bigger than a 40"/100cm umbrella or 36"/90cm soft box on this. Don't be the idiot that puts a $1000 LED lamp on this. This light stand is for your Godox AD100, 200, 300 type users. This light stand was not design to be "heavy duty." If you need "heavy duty" stand, go buy an actual spreader stand or a C-stand ... show more

I purchased this K&F concept light stand tripod as an upgrade to those cheap thin aluminum stands with plastic components that came with my Neewer softbox lighting kit. This stand holds up without having to use sandbags. With heavier equipment such as my GVM bowens large umbrella softbox I use the sandbags for additional stability. I ordered this light stand because I own a K&F Concept tripod with the pan arm and swiss arca mount head and I love this brand! I trust in the brand so much that I have replaced several of my Italian photography brand equipment with the red circle and white M logo and have even converted my photography backpacks that hold my expensive gear over to K&F Concept backpacks. This tripod is extremely light weight with a thicker and higher quality grade of aluminum. The legs have those signature style press and click into position adjustable positions and can be folded into the compact configuration to fit in the included carrying bag. As others have stated, this is the first K&F bag that is not the thick durable nylon but that helps keeps the price point low so I can purchase additional tripod light pole stands. ... show more

My first impression was great. Feels light and sturdy. It is very easy to opperate, which is important. I like the rubber pads at the feet of this. They seem to have a very nice density. I also discoved it has a spring loaded hook under the center shaft for a dead weight added. Way cool! Just before writing this review I looked over some of the worst reviews and do not understand their complaints after playing around with it again and testing those issues. The top mount is a one piece metal head that would not break like plastic, and is easil;y unscrewed to replace if needed. This fully extended at the leg second notch went well over my head at 5' 10". I did not feel any wabble or play to the poles fully extended. I had recently bought a carbonfiber stand with flimsy aluminum legs costing twice this much, which was less stable, less versatle, harder to opperate, and would not hold it's position. Which had inspired me to find a better stand. I had been using some Manfrotto stands for several years before that, but have some limitation. While I am relatively content with what I received vs. price, I feel it was a bit dishonest to call one of the items on the page a "2 pack" as the items do not match what is shown for the individual unit. Both the rubber feet and the red adjustment levers are different. The rubber feet on the units received are less burly and certainly seem like they won't be nearly as durable. As for the function of the adjustment levers, the red ones of the individual unit appear to be the spring loaded type, while the ones I received are black push/pull (which I actually sort of prefer so far). Anyway, 4 stars for quality, less 1 star for what strikes me as dishonest marketing. If it were truly a 2 pack, I would have received 2 of the same as the individual item - not something with lesser features allowing for a discount. I certainly should have looked at the pics a little closer, but also feel a bit deceived. Bad form, seller. ... show more

I wanted a stand for my AD200 to use on location for outdoor portrait shoots. I wanted to be able to put my backpack on one leg to help hold it down. I needed it to be compact and light weight so I could carry it like a tripod on my backpack. I looked at every photography website and watched too many YouTube videos with suggestions for a stand. I was not familiar with K&F Concept stands so I was leaning toward one of the typical big name brands. Finally I just pulled the trigger on this one and hoped for the best. I am super happy with it. I has a nice low, wide footprint and the larger gauge tubing used throughout make it nice and stable. Well done K&F. Highly recommend this stand, works great. ... show more
