Huge Upgrade Over the Stock Head—Especially for Visibility My wife is very particular about her vacuum setup, and we picked up this replacement head for our Dyson (V10 in our case) hoping it would improve visibility. After a couple weeks of regular use, it’s clear this is a real step up from the original head that came with the vacuum. The standout feature is the built-in light. It sounds minor, but it completely changes how you clean—especially on hardwood and low-pile carpet. You can actually see dust, pet hair, and fine debris that would normally go unnoticed. My wife immediately pointed out spots she would have otherwise missed. Performance-wise, suction transfer feels just as strong as the original, and the roller handles both carpet and hard floors well. It glides smoothly and hasn’t tangled easily with hair so far, which is a plus. Compared to the stock Dyson head, this feels more practical in real-world use, even if the build isn’t quite as premium. My Dyson V8 has been showing its age. The main culprit is the worn vacuum head. I saw this one and thought I would try to put a bit more life into the Dyson. When it arrived and I unpacked this JYJZPB Vacuum Head Attachment I was immediately impressed with it’s good construction and solid feel. It fit on the vacuum tube perfectly. When the big test came - wow, it does a great job!!! There is even an LED light that shows dirt/objects that frankly I never saw before (the original V8 head doesn’t have any lights). As I vacuumed my kitchen floor I was very happy with the job it was doing - picking up crumbs, etc that the old head couldn’t deal with. It also has a clever vacuum level adjustment on the front of the head - it can provide full suction or you can adjust for a little less. Overall this has now put new life into my Dyson V8 - and Im sure it will last me sometime!

This vacuum head works pretty well for hard floor surfaces and does what it's supposed to do in that context. I like that it's adjustable for different floor types, and I appreciate that they include a detangling tool with the attachment. That's a thoughtful addition that makes maintenance easier. It's easy to take apart for cleaning as well. The quick-release mechanism works smoothly, and being able to rinse the brush bar keeps everything hygienic between deep cleans. I do want to note that the manufacturer specifically does not recommend this for carpet except for very thin carpet. I will tell you from experience that even on a washable area rug—not thick shag or anything, just a standard low-pile area rug—this thing had all kinds of problems. The brush bar struggled to rotate properly and the suction seemed to drop significantly. So I would say it's not really great on any kind of carpet except for maybe commercial-grade office carpet with extremely short pile. If you have any residential carpeting in your home, this probably isn't the right attachment for you. The green LED light is actually my favorite part of this attachment. Being able to see dust and debris illuminated on the floor makes cleaning way more effective. But the LED isn't very strong, and the positioning is problematic—it's mounted all the way on the side rather than centered. You don't get full LED coverage for the entire cleaning path of the vacuum head, which means you're only illuminating part of what you're vacuuming. This isn't a huge deal, but it is definitely not as good as other LED vacuum heads I've had in the past that positioned the light centrally for complete coverage. Recommended (for hard floors only—skip this if you have carpet)

I realized just how clever Dyson was making their vacuum heads transparent, because the more you use it, the grimier they get. After two year with it, I found myself thinking I needed to get a new vacuum, even though it actually still worked fine. What I needed was a new vacuum head that wasn't permanently dirty and grimy, and this one works great. I was able to easily swap out the old vacuum head with this one and it made my Dyson look brand new again. It also picked up nicely. I think the brush on my old one had gotten a bit worn, so using this one makes it seem like I have an all new cleaner again These brush heads are a great way to make an older vacuum work like new again, and for so much less than buying a brand new one. I'm thrilled with it!
