This was my first time using a melt and pour soap product and found this product very easy to use. Simply heated the bars in silicone loaf pans so no need to dirty another dish. I put one pound of the soap base in each pan. They melted in a very short time (see caution below). I then added some body safe fragrance oil and mixed it in well. For one I used a lavender, cedar and sage fragrance then added some crushed lavender buds to it. The other I added hazelnut coffee fragrance oil. After cooling, I simply popped the soap out of the molds and cut each loaf into three bars. Clean-up was very quick as the soap rinses away easily, in fact I used the spoon to wash my hands rather than waste the little that was coating it. The soap foams very well and feels great on my hands. Very happy with this product! Caution: There are no directions on the package, so I went to the product page on Amazon and read their melting instructions. In the pictures of how to prep, they stated to melt the soap bars 5-10 minutes in the microwave. I thought this sounded a little extreme so I started the first mold with 5 minutes but checked them at a 1 minute 30 seconds and they were already melted and hot with only a small piece still needing about 20 seconds more. The next pan I started with 30 seconds, repeated that twice.

I’ve been trying to learn how to make soap, so I grabbed this soap mix. It’s got a really strong base scent that made it very hard to add scent to the mix. It melted and reshaped well, but it’s also slightly tacky even after drying for a few days.

This is a great melt and pour soap, very quick and easy to use. It has a light scent due to being honey based, but I think it would take other scents well. It definitely takes color well (I used mica powder to color it). This soap comes conveniently pre-cut into chunks; these chunks are not the same size but they’re close and it’s not a bother for me as I don’t care about being precise on the portions. This soap melts VERY fast in the microwave, for me 3-4 chunks melt within 30 seconds, and it WILL flash boil so be careful. I suggest melting it in 10 second increments with stirring in between if using a microwave, to help reduce bubbles. Alternatively, spritz it with rubbing alcohol after pouring to get rid of bubbles if needed. Either way, I have no complaints about this soap and would get it again. It melts quickly and sets up quickly, has only a light fragrance, and remains soft after setting. I used mine to make bigfoot soaps as gifts; in my photo, the yellow bigfoot is this soap with no color added. The white is another melt and pour soap I used as a comparison.

This is a very convenient soap to use. It has a wonderful scent to it, and it is nice and transparent. It plays well with other components (fragrances, colors) and melts smoothly. It maintains it's beautiful yellow color. It melts within the same time parameters as similar melt and pour soap bases. It is convenient to use as it is already cut into chunks. It saves time using this base. Easy enough for someone new to melt and pour soap, but complex enough for an experienced soap maker to use. I like this and will probably purchase more of this brand to use again.

I have wanted to make my own soap for a while now and finally made the dive and got this product. Very easy to melt and has a low natural scent, so adding fragrances is easy and comes out correctly. I made my first soap bar with charcoal ash and crushed walnut shells. So far I'm loving this base and will order more when I'm out. Excellent!!!

This honey melt and pour soap base is easy and convenient to use. It's pre-cut and melts very quickly in the microwave. For 5 pre-cut pieces it took only two minutes in a small 700 watt microwave. The color is a nice translucent golden orange honey color. The consistency when melted is a somewhat viscous liquid, but is thin enough to fill the details on a silicone mold. I like everything about this soap except the smell. I understand that scent is a personal preference, but I don't care for the scent of this particular one. It is a rather strong floral scent. I suppose that this makes sense with it being a honey variety. However, I am not a fan of floral scents in general, so perhaps I would be in the minority, and others would find it very appealing. Overall, this is a lovely soap and if you are a fan of floral notes I would recommend this soap.

I'm new to soap making, and I was really looking forward to including handmade soap in my gifts to family and friends this year. This product was extremely easy to use. I melted it in the microwave and poured it into the molds I had on hand. It set up nicely and hardened completely in just a few hours. But the smell. I did not like the STRONG fragrance of this melt and pour soap AT ALL. It was so overpowering, the aroma traveled from my kitchen through my entire house. I looked forward to adding some essential oil fragrance to the bars, but I could not add anything to this mixture. Just no. I wrapped up the soaps and put them in a mason jar to eliminate the smell. I did give them to a friend who also gave me a homemade gift, but I had to include a warning with the package. I did not give out handmade soap to all the family in friends this year. Maybe next year when I've found a less fragrant product.

First things first: if you're microwaving this, don't follow the instructions on the product page. Most microwaves have high enough output to do the job a lot faster than what the manufacturer is suggesting. Heat in short increments, checking and stirring as you go. That part out of the way, I liked this soap base. The scent is strong enough to be present, but not so strong that it overpowers or "colors" the scent of most common add-ins. I also haven't noticed it drying my skin out, which is always a good thing!
