This is a good transom saver with some great features. First it is super easy to adjust. Second, it is made of quality materials. The one drawback to this transom saver over others is that the V part that goes on the boat motor is solid steal. One would think this is a good thing, but it is not flexible and there is no rubber padding to keep from scratching the motor. ... show more

Maybe I overthought this, but I was concerned about towing my new lightweight 12' RIB Hard Bottom Inflatable 450 miles back home from picking it up from the dealer. I wound up ordering three different Transom Savers. This is the one I went with, although it didn't arrive in time for the tow home. I have a lightweight 16' boat trailer, there's a 131 lb. 2025 Yamaha Outboard mounted on the boat. The dealer assured me the tow home would be fine without a transom saver, and it was. Later, reading the Yamaha owner's manual I saw that they recommended using a Transom Saver. Anyway, it's now installed. No roller at the back of the trailer, so mounted the enclosed bracket to the bottom back cross brace on the trailer, found my own screw long enough to work. Wound up extending the transom support bar about 27", attached it to the bracket on the trailer, and then with the help of my wife, lowered the motor down onto the saver, and strapped it securely in place with one of the bungee cords provided. I like the angle and position of the motor much better using the Transom Saver, rides straight and a little lower. The bungee seems to apply enough pressure to keep the motor in alignment during towing. So far, it seems like a two person drill to set up for towing, but for longer trips will be worth it. ... show more

This is a solid design for supporting an outboard with a power tilt function to relieve stress on the transom while trailering. For the price, this is a great value. It is easily adjustable and is light weight to remove and place in the back of the tow vehicle when launching the boat. It comes with everything needed. Very solid and sturdy with great adjustability, This works great on my short shaft honda 30. The adjustment options would fit a wide range of trailers and engine sizes. Extremely sturdy design, very happy with this transom saver.
