The JY PERFORMANCE Adjustable Boat Transom Saver for Outboard Motor is very sturdy and holds very well even on extremely rough roads. The transom saver came with good instructions and all needed hardware to include two good quality bungee straps for securement. It took only a few minutes to assemble and was ready to use immediately. It's quick and easy to adjust length and has plenty of range for adjustment. It's strong and durable enough to last for many years of good service. I'm extremely pleased with this transom saver and its ability to hold solidly even on some of the roughest roads here in Oklahoma. My last transom saver never held on a single trip. This is a very well-made transom mount. The mount itself is well-made and feels like I'll get plenty of use out of it, especially considering I'm using it on a 12hp outboard on a 13-foot dinghy. Installation is a breeze. Prop your motor up, hook the mount on the transom, adjust it to fit snugly under the lower unit on the motor, and strap it on using the included bungee cords. It really doesn’t get easier than this. It holds the motor tightly and takes so much stress off my transom. This works perfectly for me, and considering the price, it's even better! ... show more

    • Great transom saver, just wish the lower unit contact surfaces had rubber.
It is a great product with one minor drawback, I wish the contact surface that comes in contact with the lower unit was made out of rubber rather then plastic. Someone who does not have a brand new outboard or one they restored them selves would probably not care. I however put a lot of elbow grease into stripping, priming, painting, clear coating. So I will be looking for a way to either glue on rubber pads on each side or replace that section with a rubber piece. Other then that I found it great, easy to assemble with all screws included to get the job done. ... show more

I've very happy with this. It is sturdy, adjustable, and easy to assemble. It is well thought out, including details like holes in the brackets to attach the 2 included bungee cords to. I plan to use on a 25hp motor attached to a 16" aluminum boat.
