I have bought these earbuds in at least 3 colors, for specific reasons. I like earbuds that can double as earplugs for their noise canceling qualities, and these do just that. They’re comparable to wearing earplugs that are about a 30dbb rating, which is pretty impressive as far as earbuds go. They fit very comfortably in the ear, so much so that you can even lie down with them and it doesn’t hurt the surrounding cartilage. The output is good, everything from music to movies to listening to podcasts or even that weird ASMR stuff (not my thing but interesting how the stereo quality picked up the movement from right to left ear as sharply as a set of bose would. I know because I’ve tried). I have very sensitive hearing and the noise canceling capabilities were comparable to a different brand of earbuds a friend had bought that cost much, much more. My favorite part of these earbuds besides low cost and comfort is the elongated.... base? Prior to these my favs were skullcandy jib. But they were -constantly- breaking because there was no elongated base to protect where the wire connects to the earbud. A tug or two on the jib earbud wires and they’d stop producing sound on whichever side. By having the longer base/back/case, it provides longer life to the earbuds. If you notice the earbuds apple provides, at least for iPhones 6-8, the back base extends down quite a bit protecting more of the wire from coming loose or disconnecting so the earbud “life” is longer. Those are so uncomfortable for the ear though, yuck. I also like that the plug for these earbuds are straight vs L shaped. Even though some could argue that makes it more likely to slip out, it’s perfect when fitting it into an iPad mini or tablet for movies, etc. My iPad mini 4 has an otterbox defender protector and it would be difficult if not impossible to fit an L shaped 3.5mm in there. So in this case the straight plug is better than the 90 degree L shape. For a set of inexpensive, wired earbuds, these are great and I highly recommend. My last pair lasted for over 2 years before one side stopped working (one too many yanks from toddler hands). I’d rather by 5 pairs of these, knowing they’re comfortable, truly noise canceling with good quality, than take my chances on a more expensive set that often look uncomfortable. Though I suppose wired earbuds are going the way of the incandescent bulb and these too will eventually be ancient relics. Until then, I recommend to anyone still preferring wired earbuds with effective noise cancellation. ... show more

Been a fan of earbuds since the 90s. I prefer earbuds since they are compact and the silicone ear fittings seal the ear passage and do a decent job of sound isolation. Granted, you block a lot of ambient noise, so these aren't too safe if you are walking around or lord help you driving while using these, but that's not my use case. I use these at home or at the office and they sound great and block most of the ambient noise. Price is also great, I believe I paid 8 bucks and change to be shipped to HI, and at this point, they are disposable. I can't rationalize paying 200 bucks for earpods or similar hardware when these work almost as good and I don't have to worry about a low battery, though you will need to ensure you have a 3.5mm audio plug. I got these hoping the small sized ear tips would be good for my very small ear holes. Sadly, the inner plastic piece is still too big even with the small tips. I can wear them for a little while, and the sound quality is good--but ultimately they end up hurting after a few minutes. They're probably fine for most people, but I would recommend not buying these if your ear holes are just super small like mine. ... show more

In my opinion, these are worth it just for the ear tips they come with. Unfortunately, considering you can get some really good IEMs for only a little more money, I wouldn't actually use these earbuds anymore. However, after trying many ear tips and struggling finding ones that fit my (apparently) tiny ear canals, the small ear tips that come with these are well worth the $8 as these are the only ones I've been able to find that give me a good seal with my IEMs and without falling out ... show more
