Worked as expected. Definitely would not use if you legitimately need 6ft of cable. The tension in the cable gets significant if stretched more than 3-4ft. I originally ordered a 4ft version was was far too tight when connected, this worked adequately. I liked that the pin it came with is compatible with my brake device so installation was fast and simple. The carabiner is ridiculously oversized, I may swap that out for a smaller one at some point. The coil/spring feature is a great upgrade from my stock normal cable, it keeps it out of the way while traveling but allows for stretching in turns. Rubber coating is also a nice plus, keeps it from rubbing on anything and will prevent rust.

Well made but still not long enough for our 5th wheel. Had to put a 4 footer and this 6 footer together so it would work. The cable itself is very nice and made well. An 8foot cable would work for most 5th hweels. To bad they don't seem to make one.

Did not use this for a trailer. Took off the key ring and clipped it between a short leash and my dogs collar to make a 'retractable' leash. Works perfect for this. My dog has freedom to explore a bit by stretching out the coils but when she comes close to me they retract and she doesn't have a long leash to trip over. I don't have to fuss with a big bulky retractable leash with a locking mechanism that I would have to use if I didn't have this. I still have the other one that came in the package if I ever need to use it on a trailer.

All brake cables should be like this. So much easier to hook up. No more frayed cables from dragging on the road while you drive. I did unhook the key it came with and swapped it for mine as they were slightly different but that took about a minute.
