This review comes from my 9 year old who is the one who will be using this cute swim kick board. Right off the bat, he thinks the flamingos are cute and he loves the mint teal color. The backside doesn’t have the flamingo print. So really the board can be used either side. Even though this board design is geared towards girls, my son and I aren’t bothered by it since it’s not pink princesses or bows. You can’t have real life flamingos without having both boy and girl flamingos lol. Anyway, my son said the board is firm and thick and then handles are cool. His previous kick board didn’t have handle cut outs so he’s excited for this unique design. Even though he knows how to swim, he’s currently learning how to improve his form and technique and his swim instructor is having him use a kick board so this is why I ordered it. This is a good kickboard for swim training, especially for younger swimmers. The side and top grooves provide a comfortable and secure grip, which helps with focusing on technique. This buoy is even denser than I expected. Definitely a quality item. I will feel safe with my toddler playing with this in his new kiddie pool. No chemical smell (and I am sensitive to those) so that’s a plus. I wish they made them for older kids as well. The design is cute too. I recommend

Getting ready for summer swim time, I was looking for a kickboard similar to one that was used in a swimming class they were enrolled in. This board is VERY solid, not flimsy or weak. It's going to hold up to the beating our kids will unleash on it. Fun kickboard that can support a 4 year old as they learn to swim. My kids don't use it much, but I do see them paddling whilst on top. It seems to be made pretty well and is sturdy so I am sure it will last long enough for them to gain some confidence and start swimming on their own.

This was a great intermediate size for my 4'7" 10yo. Adult kickboards are still a little awkward for her, but children's kickboards are too small.
