Cotton cloth, perfect for ironing. Iron won't stick to it and it's possible to iron all materials.

  • Pressing Cloth
Color: White
This pressing cloth works as described. It's sheer enough to see what you are doing. The only thing that I'm not liking is the bits of lint that come off the edges. The cloth is "cut with pinking shears" around the edges instead of a steamed edge. This causes it to be a little linty.

  • A Sewing Necessity
Color: White
For what this is, it's a fine product. Pressing is a vital part of sewing and it helps to have a pressing cloth to ensure that you don't damage synthetic fabrics. There is nothing wrong with this one. It's 100% cotton, so it won't melt under high temperatures. And it's semi-sheer, so you can see what you're pressing. The thing is, it's just a small rectangle of either cotton voile or batiste. It isn't even hemmed---the edges are pinked. That's fine, except I could order a yard of voile for about the same price and make at least four pressing cloths of equal quality. It comes down to a matter of convenience. Would you rather order one and have it delivered to your door? Or spend about five minutes to make your own? Personally, if I'd known what this was, I would have used the money to buy some cotton voile and cut my own pressing cloths. I would have made them a little larger, too, since this one is a bit on the small side. Since it's a perfectly serviceable pressing cloth, I'll give it four stars and tentatively recommend it to anyone who sews. But if you have access to cotton voile or batiste, you might as well make your own and save a little money. ... show more
