I was taking the GoodSense equivalent of Claritin for about a year when I noticed it wasn't working as well as when I first started taking it. I mentioned this to my doctor and he said after taking and allergy medicine for an extended period you can become resistant to it. He suggested switching to another allergy med with a different active ingredient. Because I was so happy with the GoodSense brand in the past, I found that GoodSense had this pill that's the equivalent to Zyrtec that does in fact have different active ingredients from the first one I was taking. Sure enough, it worked like a charm! Now I'll be sure to keep both allergy meds on hand so when it appears that one isn't working as well I can switch back to the other. These work the same as the name brand. Everyone is different, but one pill a day is enough to manage my allergies without making me drowsy. I’ve purchased these several times and my only complaint is that they sometimes go bad before the expiration date. I consider these “bad” when they start to smell like vinegar. This came out to be cheaper than my prescription Zyrtec copay. Yeah, it's usually the other way around. This is a year's supply of generic Zyrtec for under $15. I usually pay a copay of $3/month. Now I don't have to worry with it for a year.
