I suppose that there is a chance that I just got a faulty machine. Randomly shuts down - sometimes just the page but usually the whole machine. It has happened that neither number keypad would work to enter my pin for re-entry - another cold re-boot. The price was irresistible. I figured that the technology for a computer to serve very basic needs was so common that the risk was minimal that I would get a total dud. But I did. I have had it for 5 days. We had Hurricane Milton coming at us and I got my 20 year old Dell laptop to transfer my financial data but it was Dead, really Dead. At 85 I did not want to spend $1000 for a new laptop I would hardly use plus this was the only one that would arrive the day before the Hurrican. Works great for my purpose. The Ram memory is not an issue and the storage was easily overcome by using a 2 TB external Hard Drive I had. The screen was easy for me to see even with advanced Macular Degeneration. i had high hopes because this was easy to set up, but after less than one month of use,it printed recurring lines of dashes across display when search or Windows icon pressed. Went through all the troubleshooting and rebooting steps from both manual and online to no avail.
