Actually looks better in person than the product photos, and the feel is high quality and not that papery greenery that sheds. It did come smashed in the box but bent back to shape pretty easily. I don't think the lights are permanently attached, which is nice because I'm sure they'll eventually stop working and I'll be able to replace them. Update 1/26/21: After having this tree up for the full season, I found the battery operated element had some issues. On the one hand I could leave it on while sleeping, which is something I don't feel safe doing with plug-in lights. On the other hand, there is no "on/off" setting that I could figure out (usually it would be inside the battery case), only a general "timer", which comes on and shuts off at the same times daily. If you want it on at a different time than originally set, or longer than a few hours, you have to keep turning it back on, which requires approximately 8 button presses (16 if you accidentally passed it) to get to the "steady on" setting (which one would assume would logically belong first). I was turning it on three times a day. Which leads to the next problem: battery life. I went through an appalling quantity of batteries, which in hindsight probably wasn't worth being too stubborn to take off all the ornaments, restring with plug in lights, and redecorate it. I did try a spare string of plug lights when putting it away and it looked great. Sigh. The tree itself is lovely and I can see it lasting many years (a friend pointed out I could even decorate it for different seasons), but I would strongly advise buying a separate string of lights for it if any of the above issues would be a problem for you.

It’s a nice little tree. First it had a lot fewer branches than the picture. Second, the picture does not show it having fake snow. Mine has light fake snow on the branches and it flakes off easily. So adjusting branches or hanging candy canes gets a little messy. I’m a very clean person ha ha! And one reason I went with a fake tree instead of real is I thought it would be less messy. Not a huge deal. Obviously it’s a first world problem but being honest for other shoppers.

First, it’s a pale green with even paler tips - not a rich holiday green at all; the branches, even fluffed out are strangely arranged; lights are sparse. Thought about just returning it - instead bought a little battery strand of colored mini lights, baked & painted cookie dough ornaments with the little Grands, added a popcorn garland and it is now enconced in the playroom…..🎄

I saw the negative reviews, but I had no trouble shaping the tree. I decorated it with red birds and small Christmas ornaments and I also added another string of lights. It’s really darling.
