First off... not easy assembly...and very time consuming... instructions so-so... HOWEVER end product nice. Use a battery powered drill/screw driver not the "tool" provided... this will save a tremendous amount of time...and your wrist and elbow. Make sure to screw latch screws flush to unit and loosen white plastic seating nuts if they won't easily go in pre-drilled holes. Really should be multi-person assembly... some steps require it. After unit is self standing...one person can complete. Many screws and fasteners... this is what takes so long. I saw video on Amazon complaining about drawers not working correctly...I am certain it is the quality of assembly. ALL screws on drawer rails MUST be properly seated and flush... otherwise they interfere with sliding in and out correctly. I had same issue but then turned screw tighter and now works smoothly. The key is to not rush, be methodical and don't shortcut. Overall finished product is nice... only worry is what to do when vanity lights stop working. Did find replacements on Amazon but not from Joysource. Would do again... but set aside several hours. ... show more

Once it’s assembled it’s pretty and I think a good deal for the price. All my pieces came clean and without any scratches or marks. The shelving and drawers give it a lot of space. Assembly was a major pain though - I put it together alone and it took nearly 4 hours (albeit I did put a piece on upside down at one point and needed to start over, but that is because the instructions aren’t super clear) instructions are entirely picture based, which is fine for the most part, but there are a few pieces where it’s hard to tell which way to orient the piece - my only complaint ... show more

A decent makeup desk, but could use some improvement in making the base more sturdy. Have in mind that the desk comes in a lot of small parts that you need to assemble and that could easily take about 3-4 hours or more, not really easy for people that are not handy in assembling furniture. Having somebody to help you assemble it, especially for the upper part as it is bulky and heavy would be useful. Assembly instructions could be made better, especially for people that do not assemble furniture every day. The LED lights are not that powerful, they are not replaceable and have in mind that they do come with a USB power plug, so additional power adapter would be needed (not included in package) to make them work. You need to glue them to the mirror surface with the help of the provided double-sided tape stickers. ... show more
