  • Good scooter
Color: Y7-S black
Hi have had this scooter for about a week and am very satisfied with it . It has plenty of power. I am still testing the range to see how far it goes on one charge but I have gone as far as 11 miles and the battery still showed full charge. It is a fast scooter, I have gone full speed (31 MPH). It is built well and sturdy. Good quality . I am happy with this scooter. ... show more

  • Fast, but slow takeoff. After 2yrs, it stopped working.
Edit: I wouldn’t recommend this scooter. I’ve never rode it in at wet conditions and always store in a dry cool temperature basement @ 50% battery. I fully charge about once or twice every month or two to balance the cells. After riding for 6 miles from full charge, the Y7-S started to strangely lose strength in power. At about 49V’s on a level straight road, it stopped working and will not turn back on. I’ll reach out to Joyor before I open up scooter and check for connections and any anomalies. 3/20/2024. 4/30/24; controller seemed to be defective. Unfortunately all of the connections from harness are heat glued to controller connectors making trouble shooting and repair a absolute nightmare. I replaced controller and throttle and now the scooter is back up and running BETTER than before. Torque is stronger and top speed is maintained longer than before. I have controller mounted on front of stem to keep cooler. Overheating from lack of ventilation probably destroyed the factory controller imo. I have owned several scooters now. First was the Segway-Ninebot ES3 then the Mercane WideWheel & the “Pro” version, Zero 10x, NIU Kqi3 & the E-TWOW GT SE. The Y7-S is the second fastest (top speed) after the Zero 10x, but near the bottom for acceleration/quickness. I weigh 220lbs. The battery range seems to be fairly healthy considering that I try to keep it steaming above 20mph. With some mixed hill and flat terrain I traveled 20 miles and still had nearly half battery left (47.1V). Ride quality is good. I initially thought with the knobby tires that the ride on pavement would be compromised, it wasn’t. It’s very quiet, yet makes just enough noise for pedestrians to hear me. The tire design allows for spirited slalom style riding. As I have spent more time riding, I’ve grown more confident in these particular tires gripping ability. I don’t ride on wet surfaces, so I cannot give an opinion on that type surface. Suspension is decent and probably more on the stiff end of the spectrum. The front sometimes makes a clang type noise, but I think that’s from extension not compression. The Y7-S doesn’t induce the type of brain shaking that the (only front suspension) Ninebot is infamous for, though nowhere near the comfort of the Zero 10x. Because the Y7-s has pneumatic tires, air pressure can be lowered to provide a “softer” ride without much compromise to overall range. The lights on the Y7-S are nice. For a mid-entry priced escooter, I think the lights offer a valuable safety feature beyond others in this class or below. The rear brake light is exceptionally bright almost on par with a motorcycle imo. The side lights are very visible too, though the blinker feature is best seen from the sides of the scooter and less so from the front and back because of the angle. Front headlight is okay for 15 mph or less speed at night. Build quality appears good. Fit and finish isn’t as nice as the E-TWOW or Ninebot, but doesn’t look rickety either. I’m not a fan of the stem mechanism for the height adjustment. I’d prefer a design like the E-TWOW which has a spring button that pops into height adjustment holes. The design of the Y7-S is that of a dowel screw built into the center of a clamp that’s tightens into a channel slot. Seems a bit fussy to me. Intuitive, but not as well designed as the more simplistic E-TWOW design. Grips are good and so is the display that incorporates the “finger” throttle. Brakes are regenerative/manual. I think this setting is set too high and I’d like to back it off, as it seems to come on a bit too strong at first. However, there doesn’t seem to be a parameter setting for regeneration brake adjustment. Overall I think the Y7-S is a good value and a good first scooter for a entry level enthusiast. ... show more

  • Here's why I'm giving it three stars:
Color: Y7-S black
0720 UPDATE(The reason why three stars become four stars): Seller processing is fast and Amazon's customer service is great! ! The package arrived two days later than expected, but I don't think that's the seller's fault. I just received the scooter and I couldn't wait to open the scooter for a test ride. After riding for 5 miles, I found some problems. I am a fan of this brand. I bought this scooter for the second time (the first time was from The second-hand product I bought from my friend, because the overall experience of using it is not bad, but because the controller of the first one was burned when going uphill, I had to place an order here again), I have a good impression of this product, I definitely don’t Maliciously slander this product, maybe I am an accidental winner this time, but this product is expensive, I have to choose to return it due to the following reasons: 1. This new scooter is too difficult to open and fold; 2. The plastic part in the middle of the armrest is damaged and there will be a "sizzling" noise when riding; 3. The front and rear brakes have defects (the front brake has a stuck feeling, and the rear brake has a spongy feeling); 4. The headlight button feels incoherent (there is also a feeling of stuttering after pressing it); 5. The shock absorber on the right side of the rear leaks oil (it is the kind of obvious black oil); 6. The e6 error code always appears randomly (this is the most terrible, no one knows when it will suddenly not work) All in all, I was looking forward to the purchase after I placed the order. I am very disappointed with this new scooter after receiving it. I will contact Amazon to return it and choose another brand instead of buying this scooter again. ... show more

  • Fast! Careful, DEFECT with stem LOCK on mine.
The media could not be loaded. I REALLY liked this scooter, shame I received a bad unit or spotted a defect that affects them all. The scooter feels solid, accelerates quickly, and does 30 mph with no problem. Assembly is a snap. The vertical assembly needs to be slammed forward, with intention, so the stem locks in place. If loose, and collapses, need I say more ... see positive reviews. BUT, here's the issue I had: The vertical stem (which has the brakes and throttle, etc. at the top) is comprised of two parts, upper and lower extension poles. The upper stem is raised to provide adjustment for ideal riding height. I tightened everything up and went over all screws to be sure the scooter was solid. The CLAMP that tightens upper and lower VERTICAL tubes DOES NOT TIGHTEN COMPLETELY TO BE SAFE. On my first ride, in minutes, as I leaned on the handle grips, the upper stem SLID DOWN AND INTO THE LOWER tube, and I wiped out. Fortunately only scraped my knee. Again, there IS a CLAMP to (I'm guessing) keep the upper and lower parts locked in place so NO SLIDING can occur. But mine did. I found the Allen wrench on the clamp and found d I could tighten it a good deal, and when it wouldn't turn by hand I used pliers to tighten it all the way. It was then the top stem felt locked in place and didn't collapse down when I leaned on the handlebars. I've no idea whether I received a faulty unit, or there's an issue with the Joyner design. I've returned mine without a hitch (nice work Amazon) and Seller was good to work with as well. ... show more
