This open case for PC components is just what I need to diagnose issues without having the constraints of a case. Assembly was straightforward. Did what I needed, and it's what I expected: a dirt cheap test bench. You can still feel the attachment tabs from where they punched out the steel. I couldn't screw in the motherboard standoffs with just my fingers, I had to grab some pliers. No labels for the standoff positions either, and the manual only shows ATX and EATX layouts. The power supply is only attached by two screws at the bottom, because the bracket supporting it isn't full height. One of the corners was bent in a bit and scuffed. It came with an extra screw and two plastic pieces I can only assume were factory debris. But it looks good, all the hardware I needed was included, the frame is sturdy when assembled, and it'll pack flat when I want to put it away. ... show more

Kinda silly how awesome this thing is. Yeah, you can strip down and old case and do all the customizing you want, but this is a clean, quick, cost effective alternative without the chop. I dig it.

    • Easy to assemble. Motherboard standoff screw holes were drilled perfectly. Nice and sturdy.
I just finished assembling this and bolting in a board. The holes for the motherboard standoffs were drilled perfectly, perfect fit. It all went together just fine. It's surprisingly sturdy and over all perfect for what I needed. The only thing it could use by way of improvement is some support in the middle of the base. I screwed in a large motherboard standoff (not one of the ones that comes with it, those are too small) from the bottom, and that worked perfectly. So yeah 5/5 stars. ... show more

Solid build. Decent paint job. Comes with all the hardware you need. Not only to assemble the unit, but to install any and all components as well. It holds components properly, and provides a very rigid and stable test bench setup environment. Seems to be made of moderately thick steel. Not paper thin steel or aluminum, no like 1mm thick steel sheeting which is actually no joke. Worth every penny. ... show more
