I've been using this battery for a while now, and I can surely say it outperforms very well in terms of both power and speed. I use this as my daily commute to get around my town, and the battery life never fails me. Keep in mind, I use full-throttle most of the time, too. The performance continues to dominate throughout my routes. As for the fit and ease of installation, it is very easy to install. If you plan on mounting onto the framework, but concerned the battery won't fit your within your bike, try investing in a “Double-bob” or “Triple-bob” (depending on which Hailong battery you buy). It is from Grin Technologies, a well-known manufacturer. I had issues positioning the battery due to my bicycle's framework, but it gave me more positions and options to perfectly mount. Overall, Joyisi is great at what they do, and they are outstanding at customer support (especially Enzhuo❤️). I've bought their products for years, and not once have they ever failed me, and they won't fail you, too.

First battery DOA, replacement battery works perfectly

The first battery I received from this company was dead on arrival. The output BMS was damaged to the point it could not produce any useful power. After reaching out to customer service, I was very pleased with their attention to detail, and they sent me a replacement battery as soon as it was clear that it was not possible for me to fix this issue. I have received a replacement battery of the same specs, and it has worked perfectly so far after a few miles of riding. By my estimates, I can safely ride 35 miles in this battery(52 V 20 AH) in hilly terrain at high speeds while keeping voltage above a safe level for long term health. This battery was a replacement for a 52 V 13 AH battery from another brand that started showing signs of being a fire hazard, so my bike was already fitted with the correct battery mount for this style of battery. This made installation trivial. If your bike has its water bottle mounting holes in an odd position, you may need to drill a hole into the middle of the battery mount to make it fit on your bike. If your battery shows signs of damage on arrival, try the following tests: 1. Place a 12K ohm resistor between the output terminals of the battery, while measuring the voltage of the battery with a multimeter. In a functional battery, this will cause the resistor to heat up at a rate of slightly more than 0.25 W, and the voltage of the battery should read ~58 V when fully charged(for a 52 V battery). If the output BMS is broken, the resistor will cause the read voltage to drop to near zero. 2. If the output voltage is not working as expected, read the voltage across the battery's input terminals to directly read the voltage of the cells. This allows you to assess the health of the cells without interference from a faulty BMS. a fully charged 52 V battery should read 58 V.

High quality battery! Love the bottle mount design.

This was full of 65 new SAMSUNG ICR1865026J(2600mAh Purple 5x13) cells, and they look and test authentic! Pack and mount weight 8.9lbs, and has a good quality BMS(BMC13S30A). Unintentionally tested its short circuit capabilities and they work great lol(takes a minute for it to reset, but expected, works on both charge and discharge side... don't ask how i know). Running this on my 1000W rig, i get a solid 16-18 miles out of it before I start looking for somewhere to plug it in. Mount took a bit of modification to work it onto my bike, but there is also a third mounting hole under the bracket. I drilled a few rivnut into the frame and it is SOLID mounted. The only issue I have is it keeps the power on the bike while charging, which keeps my headlight on even when the switch is off. Not a fan of the XLR connector for the charger, but whatever. Been on this for about a month and not disappointed so far. EDIT: well as with the past battery, I ended up taking out the cheap charge plug and replaced it with an Anderson connector. the battery life is still phenomenal though. got just over 20m the other day.

Solid battery, good customer service. These batteries are made real-time - so don't freak out.

I converted my Kona Dew Deluxe to electric with a controller and 1000 watt front wheel. The SLA batteries I tried initially were _functional_, but the bike had a range of about 6 miles @ approx. 50% throttle use. Since upgrading to the Joyisi pack, the utility of the bike has increased exponentially. I need to add a better gauge so I can drain the battery more fully between charges, but I'm getting at least 20 miles per charge, including some very aggressive uphill segments. On flat ground, the battery powers the bike to approx. 35MPH; even on really steep hills with minimal pedal assist, I do at least 15MPH. Biking 15MPH uphill with little/no effort is EPIC. Very happy with the battery. I wound up using a different seatpost rack instead of the pannier-style rack Joyisi provided, but that was more due to the geometry of my bike than any issue with the rack. When you order, keep in mind that the packs need to be assembled, tested, shipped to America, make their way through customs, and eventually get to your door. This is NOT a 2-day process; mine took about 2 weeks (which was within the quoted delivery date range). Awesome battery, solid charger. 10/10.

Cuts out a lot

Cuts out A LOT, on flat terrain and even down hill it cuts out if I try to accelerate too quickly. I have an older battery that does not have these issues. I do not recommend this battery if you rely on your bike for transportation or if you need long range. I tried to contact support to see if we could find a resolution but the automated assistant just says it's not returnable, which is understandable because it says that in the listing, but I am not asking for a return. I want product support such as parts or maybe a partial refund. This issue is likely the cells themselves or the BMS. I intend to take this battery apart and confirm if these are genuine LG cells like it says on the listing.

Nice upgrade from 48v

The battery works great, for the price! However, the battery seems stuck and will not release from the bike. So, the battery has to charge on the bike. [Update] The battery was stuck due to user install error. The fender was interfering with the full range of motion needed to release the battery. The fender was spaced to allow the bottom half of the battery more tilt angle. This battery replaced a fading 48v 12.5wh battery.

I am more than happy that I chose the Joyisi 48V battery for my first build. I say first build, because it was so easy that I am eager to build my next ebike. One of the benefits of this size, shape, and capacity is that I can now build around It as the standard for my next. I will say, however, the weight should be carefully considered in your build. It has been a great choice for the rear hub style, with pretty good balance if mounted correctly. I use mine as a commuter everyday. From potholes, to off-road, to speed bumps and boo-boos, it's taken a beatting and kept on ticking. I was cautious about the idea of making an unseen purchase; of something I don't know anything about, on the other side of of the world, yet the company has been courteous, and very considerate, in every concern and I am grateful to them for their service. Shipping should also be considered in your build. Delivery window is large, and tough to predict coming from China.

It seems unbreakable

Another outstanding LG-cell battery from Joyisi! I bought my first LG-cell Joyisi battery in 2018. While that 2018 model has lost some capacity, it still has excellent performance. I've had this 48V/20 AH battery for almost a year and it has been solid. I can go 50 or more miles at average speeds in the 20 MPH range driving my cargo bike's Bafang G0900 750W motor. Another standout is the battery mount. The mounting plate has pre-drilled slots for securing it to the bottle cage mount points. The result is a very firm mount with no movement. When new the battery case is adorned with Joyisi sticker branding, but those are easily removed with a hair dryer. (Note: This review is for the 48V/20AH variant)
