It's a really cute little set, but I'm honestly a little apprehensive about putting it together, as the clear rod that supports the "clouds" does not want to fit into the hole it's supposed to go into, which seems like it's gonna significantly destabilize the whole thing... and the loose pink stuff and the little foam beads look they are going to create an absolute mess the moment I open their respective little baggies. It also requires 3 AAA batteries that I don't currently have, so I can't test the lights out. I'll probably wait to put the whole thing together until I can get the batteries, but I think if I can find a way to properly secure the little "cloud rod", it's gonna be adorable. I'm a grown adult who got this just for fun, I don't actually have a kid to do it with, but it looks like something that a kid would really enjoy... with an adult to help out. I don't think it'd be a great idea to leave kids to do it on their own though, unless your kid has very good gluing skills and a decent amount of patience.

Cute, but if for a child they will need help to assemble. Make sure you have batteries on hand (3AAA) and a hot glue gun wouldn't hurt either. Easy to read instructions but not necessarily for little hands.

My niece is 6 and I got her this for her birthday. We put it together in about an hour at her party, and she had so much fun! I brought a hot glue gun, just in case, as I didn't know if the glue would hold everything properly. We did end up using the hot glue gun in a few spots, so having one handy is a great idea if you have one, but certainly not necessary. I also asked her if there was anything else she wanted to include in her kit that was extra special. She had some confetti left over from a previous craft that she LOVED (mermaids), and so we incorporated that as well. I didn't do pictures in this review, because we added some things that don't come with the kit. I guess my take away is that this is very fun, works well, is very child-friendly and awe-inspiring in little ones, but don't be afraid to customize it however your kiddo wants. It's a special activity to do together, but we really made it her own, and that is so fun! It comes with everything you need, is easy to put together, and is just a really nice craft!

This is a very cute craft kit for a patient child. It requires a careful hand, and patience to allow the glue to dry. Nothing sits flat on the grass bottom, so without the glue to hold things together everything just falls over. I might suggest using hot glue to shorten the time it takes for items to stand on their own and the amount of patience required, as well as the holding power of the glue itself. It's a pretty cheap little kit, but fun to put together and can make a beautiful nightlight! Also note, the finished product will be a bit fragile and the power switch is on the bottom.

I thought this little kit is just precious! What little girl doesn’t like unicorns? I actually purchased it for my grandson to put together and gift to his little step sister. He had a fun time putting it together and it really didn’t take that long despite the fact that the glue just didn’t hold that well. We ended up using a different glue we had on hand for extra staying power. We did add a little bit of glitter that we had to give the clouds some extra sparkle. His little sister loves it, so I’m calling this a win despite the glue issues.

I was less than impressed with this little craft nightlight. The clear dowel didn't fit in the hole like the instructions said, so everything was tipping over. Then, the instructions said to glue the tree and mushrooms to the grass but grass is not the easiest material to glue things onto. The unicorns are super cute but the horn broke off one and a wing broke off another within a short period of time while we were putting it all together. That said, the finished design was pretty cute and the lights work great, and my kids think it is adorable. Besides the stress of the materials not coming together very well, we had fun putting it together.

This is a cute little project for a child, and mine loved it. She loved putting it together and has it next to her bed at night as a cute little nightlight. However, I found the glue and putting together process to be lacking. The glue did not hold very well and sticking the figures to the grass was difficult because they kept falling over. We tried to secure the unicorn on top but it fell over when we put the top on. She found this funny and tells everyone the unicorn fell so it wasn't a problem for her. But other kids might be disappointed. If you have your own crafting supplies a hot glue gun might work better. Three stars because she loved it, despite my feeling that putting it together was not optimal.

This “night light” comes with a plastic dome, a pine base, 3 unicorns, a tree and more flock for said tree, cotton for a cloud and everything needed to pit it together. Where as the inserts are not the best quality, this isn’t an expensive product. The glue isn’t the best and takes longer to hold than I would want but I can guess that is so not to chance little fingers gluing themselves together. Not bad.
