I store everything in sealed containers. I love glass containers especially for meats or sauces that stain. Also love these glass containers for liquids. I have a few others (popular namebrand that does not have folding lids). They're fine, but way too expensive. This pack is absolutely perfect. The larger ones are comparable to my old ones. Yes, there are more smaller ones than larger ones, but for the price...you can't beat it. They are made of sturdy glass. The lids fit perfectly and nothing spills out. They clean up nicely. We have bought glass food storage containers before. The glass bowls hold up very well. However the plastic lids are another issue. The clamps would eventually wear and break and fall off. They were hinged by another piece of plastic on the clamp and the opening and closing, eventually would cause them to break off. The new storage containers have lids that have hinges on them so it’s not plastic in between the clamp and the top. There’s actually a clamp on a rotating hinge. These are just okay, not great. Mainly, my complaint is they are ultimately much smaller than expected. You aren't going to be storing a large amount of left overs in these containers. This is more for meal prepping than left overs. They are personal size containers, not meant for storing food for more than one person. And, you only get two that would really hold your personal left overs, and the rest is just for smaller items. The glass, itself, is good quality, but the pieces don't stack together well and aren't easy to store. The tops are also pretty flimsy, don't stack nicely or stay with the containers. I'm constantly having to search for the tops. I am not thrilled that they are plastic either. However, they are leak proof. You just have to be mindful that the silicone ring on the inside doesn't fall out. Lastly, I was constantly having to pick plastic out of the clips on the tops from the shipping. These are just OKAY for the price you pay for them. They really should have included at least two much larger pieces. ... show more

When I first opened the box I thought, "Oh no! They're all tiny?" but it turns out they are a variety of useful sizes from tiny to large, and it was just the tiny ones that on top. They were packaged very well and none were broken. What I liked about the packaging was most of it is recyclable cardboard. There is a little bit of plastic film that can be recycled via the Trex program, so I ended up with just a few sheets of Styrofoam paper that I will probably reuse in small projects around the house. I've been using glass storage containers for a number of years now, and needed to replace ones that have either chipped or parts have gone missing. These were a deal, so I'm really looking forward to organizing them in my cabinet and using them for years to come. The latches on these feel a little bit easier to use than previous models that I've had from other companies. As I age and I get more arthritis in my hands, that has become an issue with this style of storage container. At some point I will test out their waterproof sealing ability and if they fail, I will update my review. One thing that I do when I store hot food in these is I set the open container in the fridge to cool without the lid on, then place the lid on when the food has cooled. This prevents condensation from forming on the inside of the plastic lid, hopefully preventing plastic contamination of the food contents.
