These are the perfect room darkening curtains. They do an excellent job of blocking out the light, while also insulating from heat or cold. The material looks like expensive linen at an affordable price. They are a good weight, not too thin, and a beautiful color… As soon as I received mine I washed them and dried them. No issues there. I bought these to cover my sliding glass door. We have had a scorching summer so far, and my house was heating up so quickly from the light and heat from my large sliding glass door. I wanted something that was visually attractive but blacked out a lot of the light and heat. These do both!! They are beautiful and great quality. The material has a nice weight to it and blocks out a ton of light. I keep them closed during the day and can already tell a difference in the room temperature. My air conditioner isn't running none stop! I already bought another pair for another room . My only suggestion it the be advised when you are measuring, you have to deduct the amount above the grommets. We initially measured when hanging the curtain rod from the very top to the bottom of the curtain. When we place the curtain on the rod ,we lost a couple of inches in the total length, making the curtain not touch the floor like I wanted. So, measure from the bottom of the grommet rings when hanging. ... show more
