So glad these became available again! This has been my favorite small saw for the past year or so, and I was worried I’d never be able to replace it once the teeth went dull or broke. Saw has a single-edge, Kataba-style (my favorite) blade that cuts fast and leaves a smooth end. It’s my go-to for finish cuts on narrower pieces of trim and moulding. The blade has enough flex to function nicely as a flush cutter as well. The handle is light as a feather and has a comfortable, textured grip that makes one-handed cuts feel stable and easy. So, overall - great saw! It’s a nice little supplement to my selection of larger, authentic Japanese pull saws. I love my other Jorgensen tools, so I’m glad they decided to venture into the pull saw market. I love their newer folding dovetail saw as well.

This saw cuts well comes very sharp and ready to get right to work. So dont forget a old playing card for flush cuts if you know what I mean you'll thank me later.

Until recently I had been cutting small wood pieces for random projects using dulled hacksaw blades, but that is very inefficient and time consuming. I then bought a 14 TPI hand saw that tears through wood with little effort but leaves an edge that needs some smoothing, that saw also does a terrible job on small pieces of wood. I knew I needed another saw but didn't need a full size one as I wouldn't need a high TPI saw as often and didn't want to spend too much on it. This Jorgensen hand saw is perfect for my needs. It's very sharp, feels durable and is just the right size for cutting through small pieces of wood.

Only thing that makes this thing "Japanese" is that by watching videos online Japanese wood workers like to use pull saws. This doesn't make it Japanese. High quality and small which is nice. Would buy again.
