I have been a bird carver for years, and know a quality tool. These knife are made well, and came sharp out of the box. For someone that doesn't know how to sharpen a knife, these will be good from the start. These knife's have a shape that I like, great for rough carving, and then the fine detail my carvings require. I would recommend these knifes. If you're new to carving check on YouTube for the many videos on sharpening a carving knife.

Great price on these knives. Super sharp out of the box. However, the blades are quite thin and a bit on the soft side, so they do need frequent sharpening. As with all Jorgensen products, they are well made and provide great value at this crazy low price point. Roll up pouch is a nice bonus too.

I ordered these due to some quality complaints about the "F" knives and shipping delays with the "B" knives. These arrived and were sharp out of the box. The handle is comfortably shaped, though the flared end where the tang enters the handle will pose an issue if working close to the handle. The riveted tang gives me confidence that the blade will not fall out. I do have some concern with the longevity of the blade's edge as they are stainless steel and not a high carbon steel.

These are okay for beginners, but the quality just isn’t there if you’re expecting something solid. The blades feel a bit dull out of the box and don’t hold an edge very well, so you’ll likely need to sharpen them sooner than expected. The handles are comfortable enough, but the overall build feels a little lightweight and not as sturdy as you’d want for consistent carving. They’ll get the job done for small, simple projects or if you’re just testing the hobby, but if you plan on carving regularly, you’ll probably outgrow these pretty quickly.

I recently wanted to upgrade my knives and found these to be what I wanted. I didn't read the reviews on Amazon but did on Google. On Google they were described as "highly rated budget-friendly tools ($10–$15 range) designed for bushcraft and general utility, frequently compared to Morakniv." I bought them and I do like the design, style, weight and blades, but the one thing I don't like and others seem to have the same issue, is that the blades are not secure in the handles. There is a wobble, wiggle or whatever you want to call it but the blades are not secured as they should be. It looks like the rivets are secure but the hole in the blade is too big to hold on tightly. I wrote to Jorgensen about this issue and may send these back also if they say that is how they are.

Two stars because the blade quality was great. However the overall quality was so poor that the blades were not even secure in the handles and were wiggling like crazy from the moment I opened them.
