Description

Color:Pink The Joovy Tricycoo 4.1 is your child's first vehicle and the perfect way to introduce balance and coordination, one step at a time. Ideal for babies as young as 10 months, the Tricycoo 4.1 transforms through 4 stages as your child grows. Stage 1 (10 months+) - Parents have full control with the adjustable and removable parent push handle. Baby sits in a padded seat with head support, surround arms and a 5-point harness for their comfort and safety. The extra-large canopy has multiple positions and is made of a 50 UPF fabric to keep baby cool and harmful sun rays away. Stage 2 (18 months+) - This stage is gearing up for the training stage. The Tricycoo 4.1 features a flip-down footrest for the child to rest their feet on. You can set the pedals to freewheel which prevents the pedals from spinning and avoids hitting little legs and feet. The extra comfy shoulder and seat pads are removable and machine washable. Stage 3 (24 months+) - Parents can remove the surround arms and lock the pedals to allow the child to pedal by themselves. Large pedals make it easier for the child to place their feet on and learn to pedal. The Tricycoo 4.1 features a large 10" front wheel (larger than the competition) and 7.5" rear wheels for easier riding. Stage 4 (30 months+) - A 3-position adjustable seat accommodates growing legs. The parent handle is removed completely for kid powered fun. A convenient cup holder and rear storage basket are perfect for child must-haves.

Dangerous!
I had been using this for a few months. My little boy loved it! Until one day while I was pushing him his foot got caught between the spinning pedal and the foot rest. Yes, I had the pedal unlocked, on the free moving setting which should have kept him safe from such an accident. How could this happen? Poor baby cried and cried. Thank goodness no serious injury happened. I am severely disappointed and upset. Update: I submitted a review to the Joovy website. They denied publishing it with this response: "Our staff has read your review and values your contribution even though it did not meet all our website guidelines. Thanks for sharing, and we hope to publish next time!" Shame on you Joovy.

Just ok
I really wanted to love this trike. I watched the video from the manufacturer before buying and thought it would be perfect for my 12 month old as she grows more mobile and interested in chasing her big sister around. The concept of a transforming trike seemed amazing and if well-executed, seemed perfect for our needs. I wanted it to be great. Unfortunately, the Joovy Tricycoo is just mediocre. Once fully assembled, the entire assembly feels rather flimsy, especially at the portion where the Tricycoo is meant to be pushed. The handle is really wobbly and makes steering the trike difficult. The wheels looked like rubber in the manufacturer's video, but it turns out to be plastic with what appears to be a thin layer of rubber around the edge of the wheel where it contacts the road. The sunshade is also too small and flimsy. The seatbelt adjustment is behind the padding and the seat doesn't feel particularly secure for a younger toddler. The part that is most annoying is that although the pedals can be locked in place and there is a footrest, when the Tricycoo is being pushed, the pedals do spin somewhat and can catch your kiddo's foot between the footrest and the pedal. It happened to my 12 month old and made her quite upset. That being said, overall it serves it's purpose of allowing my to push my toddler around, while getting her acclimated to riding a tricycle. I wish the execution were better, but it's really just ok.

Best gift ever for 10 month old child
My son got this for his first Christmas gift. We walk a lot in our neighborhood. The quality on this is fantastic. My 10 mo was all smiles during the test ride. We live in a cold climate so we’re waiting for spring to really try it out in the street.

Not for outside use
assembly would have been very easy if many of the parts would have been precut properly. Poor design and material, my child is 2 and we walk 2 miles outside daily. The wheels are small and built for natural terrain, the steering column is terrible and you must wiggle back and forth to keep it in a straight line. The seating area is safe a comfortable.

LOVE!!!
This went on lightning deal for $90 in December and I had been eyeballing it for awhile, so I went ahead and ordered it for my son's first birthday at the end of January. We LOVE this thing. The color is gorgeous, the seat and straps are padded, the sun shade is HUGE and keeps the sun off of my kid's bald head. My son loves going for walks around the neighborhood in this on pretty days (haven't done more than a mile in it, any longer and I put him in the jogging stroller). His feet perfectly reach the stationary pedals (though he is in the 97% for height). The absolute only negative thing I can say is that the cup holder snaps off super easily, so I just leave it off for now because that's the first thing he goes for. Also, he can steer it, so when he decides to wiggle the handle bars I have to work a little harder to keep it straight from the parent bars.

Son LOVES it, but has FLAWS
I got this for my Son when he turned 7 months and he absolutely loves strolling around in it. FLAWS: - Weak Handle - The trike is connected to the handle with 2 almost too short screws at the base that sometimes come loose and fall off. Feels like it will break off soon after a few months of using it. - flimsy canopy - doesn't break down to put in the car. (I have a small SUV, so it takes up all of the trunk. If you have a sedan, it probably won't fit until you use all of your backseat space.) PROS: - Son loves it I also bought lights for the trike because we have family walks around 5pm and it gets dark. All in all, I would not purchase this again. I would try a different brand to see if I could avoid my cons.

but good to know for others
We had to secure the tray over the back wheels (drilled 2 holes & ran zip tie) because my grandson was playing with the bike & pushed on the tray & it came unattached from around the bike frame & his weight fell forward & he cut his cheek on the sharp plastic part that snaps around the frame. Quickly resolved, but good to know for others. Also ... would be great to have a step on brake on the back wheels the adult can control.
